Yes, it would be nice to get another away win under our belts, cos it seems a while since we clamed all three points away from home. However it will be another tough match at Chatham, but at least, as Tony has said in his notes today, it seems we deserved something out of the last two games, so perhaps the lads, having only played Chatham last week, will now know better what they need to do to get back on track.

COME ON YOU DARTS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully we can beat Chathams highest gate so far of 233 which was against Potters Bar on Saturday, previously to that it was 140 against Corby.

We should be able to beat 233 although both of the above games were on Saturdays, this is a local derby though.

COME ON YOU DARTS, and supporters to.

Another away game that I'm gonna miss, which is a pity as I'd like to see Chathams ground.

Anyway, good luck for tonight - let's hope things start going our way for a change.

lets hope we learnt how to break Chatham down from the cup game last week because we sure need a result but without any panic or desparation!

Good luck to everyone tonight lets all be positive and focused with the task ahead.

Lets get stuck in and not accept second best, lets win the 50-50s and make every ball count.

If in doubt at the back clear it long and proud away from any danger.

Give the fans something to cheer about, give 110%.

well here i sit with my cup of coffee and 2 ginger biscuits but only disappointed at the 1-0 scoreline and no way dsiappointed at anything the darts did tonight

during the last 3 weeks i have been reading posts from genuinely p.....d off fans about lack of attitude etc but tonight every single one of the team gave 100% and that will do for me

chatham were solid and looked sharp going forward especially when the no12 came on after half time but we did actually get mugged but hey thats football  !!!!

positive bits were also that "pully "looked sharp , was very unlucky not to score and the 4-4-2 looked more natural and great to see stevie haffner back

whilst TB and the boys looked down coming off the pitch , i dont reckon there is too much wrong , just short on a bot of confidence

good to hear the fans in voice again cause the effort they put in tonight we owe it to TB and the boys

so , lets ALL look forward to saturday and backing the boys to stop the trend and get back to winning ways

UP THE DARTS !!!!!!!

It was a fantastic battling performance from the lads tonight especially little Ian Pulman who played up front alongside Jimmy Carter, both players were non stop all game. Pulley hit a real screamer which cannoned off the bar, if it was an inch lower then it was in as the keeper had no chance whatsoever. It was just one of those nights where nothing seemed to go for us, we even had 2 chances cleared off the line. What ever we chucked at Chatham nothing went in.

Just 1 quick lucky break from Chatham a cross from the right to their forward who beat our defender in the air and nodded the ball over to the far corner of the net with Hudson rooted to the spot.

Chatham looked nothing at all until they made a substitution at half time and brought on the bloke that scored against us in the cup game, he was a real thorn in our side and our defence just couldn't seem to handle him he was lethal.

Gary Carter looked very settled in his natural rightbacks position, although i thought that Tony Henry was looking very nervous and seemed to be lacking confidence he looked to be unstable at times on the ball being very hesistant.

Eddie McClements looked better and more settled tonight in more of a holding role in the midfield rather than pushing forward.

Steve Haffner was looking dangerous on the wing tonight tearing their fullback apart with Dave Martin doing the same on the other side.

We played a 4-4-2 formation tonight which worked a lot better as JC had someone to help him out and work alongside him up front. As i say Pulman assisted Jim up front and really looked the part.

After tonights performance things are starting to look up even if we didn't unfortunately get the result we richly deserved.

Tonights game reminded me a lot of the away game against Enfield in which we put Chatham under non-stop pressure but got robbed of the points the same as we managed to rob Enfield.

At the end of the game the players all got applauded off the pitch and rightly so after the work they put in. As Tony walked off the pitch he looked totally and utterly p****d off as yet again we've come away with nothing at all.

Hopefully this is now the end of our bad spell and things are now on the up and we can pick up the points at home to Berkhamsted on Saturday.

The team line up was as follows:
Hudson / G Carter / Tom Osbourne / Tony Henry / Richard Avery / Steve Haffner / Ryan Briggs / Ian Pulman / Jim Carter / Eddie McClements / Dave Martin   Subs Ryan Hayes / Domanic Elmes / Craig McGuire / Tom Olson.

For the Darts fans who didn't go this was a frustrating night for us, no question!! We did enough chance wise to win the game twice over! The best team lost!

If any of the players or management read this i can only say, unlucky, keep your heads up, it will come, no doubts about it. You have to keep the faith and remain positive, someone soon is going to be on the receiving end of a thrashing soon!

Their keeper made a few outstanding saves and we hit the bar as well, we all know that the luck will turn in our favour soon, please lets not lose any confidence.

Dartford FC is a famous name in non league football, and win, lose or draw we must stay focused and the rewards for plugging away will come.

When we witness a game that the players so obviously gave 100% there must be no let up or giving up, make Berkhampstead pay on Saturday when once again the Darts will be cheered on by loyal hard core fans wanting that elusive win!

One look at the league table will also give everyone heart, we have only played 3 league games at home out of 9!

KEEP THOSE HEADS UP ON AND OFF THE FIELD.

Have to say that after a quick look at the SL website tonight, I hadn't quite realised that of our 9 league games so far, only three have been at home !!

Also, despite our poor recent results (points wise that is), we are still only 5 points of the second placed team (now Chatham after tonight's result), although Corby could make that 6 points if they won their game in hand, and they also lost tonight too.

All in all then, considering the away games we have played, the ratio of away games we have played, and in several of those games we have been unlucky to get anything from them, then 5 or 6 points at this stage of the season in this league, is not a bad thing. We are off the top positions, which means the pressure might also be off the boys for a while, and we have every opportunity to pick up points again in the near future.

So no panic from me, and to me, there is no resemblance at all to the situation we found ourselves in last year before Tony took over the reigns, when we just could not see where the next win was coming.

The squad is stronger, playing better football (except perhaps Corby) and we are not being rolled over, having been in contention in most of the matches.

So  COME ON YOU DARTS' - THE RESULTS WILL COME !!!
