A welcome home game where the players can go out there backed by home vocal support and show us what they are capable of, we are due a win and i think we will get it and stop the rot of losing games.

There is no reason for any lack of confidence, the level of play was ok Tuesday where we created chances and on another day we could have sneaked a win.

I say to the players, when Tony gives the signal " go out there and unleash hell!!

Well, I reckon the run is going to continue.....

Berkhamstead have lost all three of their away games so far (Chatham, Waltham Forest and GWR), and I'm confident that its going to be 4 out of 4 after Saturday.

i hope that TB keeps the same line up and formation 4-4-2 as at chatham as the side looks full of goals andjames  carter and pullman will come good

For me it's an unchanged team as well, we created enough chances to win on Tuesday and I think it'll be 3 points no problems.

If not I think I'll start worrying

We've had a run of bad results but it seems to me that there is an air of confidence from you regulars and from TB which leads me to think that we will turn things round very soon - starting tomorrow! Good luck and keep the vocal support at full volume !

You beat me to it Grassbank, cos September was indeed a month to forget.

Gary, can the home page can be updated cos the last update I'm getting on my pc is dated August 30, so perhaps that is where the jinx lies.? No September updates!!

I know there wasn't much good news to report, but !!!!!!!! sad news is much better than no news, especially when some of the later games seem to suggest we were unlucky to get something from the games.

COME ON YOU DARTS, I'LL BE CHEERING YOU ON FROM AFAR TOMORROW AFTERNOON

Same line up started as at Chatham and we looked to be carrying on from then with some good attacking moves seeing Jimmy and Ian continue to link up well.

We created a lot of pressure on the Berkhamsted defence, but it looked as if we did not have luck on our side as their keeper pulled off two great saves and then we had Richard Avery hit the post after a scramble in the box.

But after another slick move it gave Jimmy the opportunity to hammer the ball home giving the keeper no chance.

In the second half we just went to sleep and full marks to the Berkhamsted manager who changed their formation and they completely took over the midfield and created pressure on us for the rest of the game.

We struggled in midfield as we were often left with just Eddie and Ryan to win the ball as we pushed up with Dave and Stevie overlapping and were getting over run as they pushed forward playing football with plenty of open spaces.

They looked odds on to score a goal as we were put under pressure in defence and it came midway through the half.

After that we needed to look for the winner and it just brought more pressure on our midfield and we had a lucky escape when we were caught out again but their shot hit the post.

After that we were glad to hang on for the point as we couldn't seem to get back into the game despite substituting Davie with Ryan and Eddie with Sprigsy and a draw was a fair result.

Therefore in Tony's scheme of things we have now dropped 4 points at home but are still on target away, so we will be looking to claw some of the dropped home points back away at Potters Bar with a win on Saturday.

The vocal support was good and with a crowd of just over 260 and no Berkhamsted supporters in sight we should have maintained our average attendance and both the fans and players applauded each other off at the end.

A game of two halves!

Just some observations which should NOT be perceived as critiscm

We do seem to deflate if things don't go our way, too many long balls simply not good enough. Sure we are capable of putting teams like this to the sword but we lack leadership and a strong presence in the middle.  Also the overall balance of the side appears to be wrong.

For me the back 4 are ok, no change required (or gk), also front 2 ok but the midfield needs looking at, strengthening. Pulmans battling all action performance deserved better today, along with James Carters 110% efforts.

Today we drew against a side that we stuffed 5-0 last season, we need to dominate at home with some of the biggest and loudest fans in this league, maybe the players feel pressurised?

Fully agree Kebabus, the 1st half we was playing really well and could've been at least 3 up but the 2nd half we just seemed to throw it all away.

Our midfield was so lack luster and left huge gaps which Berkhamsted certainly made use of, Eddie and Ryan Briggs almost seemed lost and gave the ball away far to often.

It looked as though we certainly missed Spriggsy but we really do seem to need a solid holding player in midfield who's not frightend to put the boot in with some crunching tackles which neither Eddie or Ryan look to do or really want to.

Eddie is the type of player thats is good running forward towards goal but isn't really good in the holding roll at all and im not being funny but im not really sure what Briggsy is any good at because he doesn't come forward or get back very often and he can't seem to hold the ball up without giving it to the opposition.

Both players have been a bit disappointing so far this season as i was expecting more from Eddie and i thought Ryan was meant to be a good holding midfield player.

Im probably being very harsh on both at this time and hopefully they will both prove me totally wrong.

Now thats my moaning section out of the way, here's for the positive comments.

I thought that Ian Pulman was absolutely outstanding today and it was his work that created our goal after battling a big tall defender Ian managed to shrug of the challenge & win the ball, he then knocked it to Jimmy who took 1 touch then put the ball into the net.

Jim was brilliant again today winning most things in the air, his work rate for the whole game is outstanding and he fully deserved his goal.

The defence had another good game although at times playing very dangerously. Richard Avery was very unlucky not to have scored after having his shot bounce back off of the post.

Dave Martin and Steve Haffner are working tirelessly down the wings, it's just unfortunate that nothing is coming of their crosses as yet, but it's only a matter of time.

If we can just tighten up our midfield play and continue to play as well in the 2nd half as we do in the 1st then im certain that somebody is going to get a real stuffing and soon.

Fingers crossed for the start of our winning run away next week.

UP THE DARTS.

For me there are two concerns and they have been there apart from the first couple of games this season.

We do not have enough bite in midfield. It is painful to say we miss Mark Horan's industry there.

The second area is getting the ball to wide positions. We seem to try the long ball behind the full back for the winger to run on to when a simple pass out wide would suffice at times.

I am sure Tony Burman knows the weaknesses, but for me let's keep on the positives and they are a very good defensive basis and some hard working centre forwards. get the midfield right and we'll be fine.

Fair result today.
