I think the one thing that is a running theme here, is that individual players and the team as a whole have set very high standards for themselves. A couple of unfortunate results (and one or two deserved), and a slight dip in form by some undoubtedly talented players, and they set themselves up for criticism.
I try to look at it from a wider point of view. We would all have taken such a start of the season if someone had offered it before it had started. The manager is not a complete idiot and I am sure he knows where improvements are needed.
The other REALLY good thing is Tony Burman does not chop and change the side at every chance. Half the trick at this level is a steady side and Tony has achieved this. I am right behind the team all the time I see the effort and determination. OK I have been absent during the poor spell but I am more optimistic about this season with every game even if the results are not as impressive as they were at first.
My final point is, I was disappointed to read a few posts about lack of vocal support while I was on holiday. I know I was not the only one on holiday and our numbers were reduced, so I was very happy that some good vocal support was generated Saturday and V Chatham. It can not be underestimated what this support achieves at this level and I firmly believe it is worth 10 points a season. We must keep this up.
