Just had a look at the PB website and they look like a friendly club with a very small ground, how many making the trip?

Looks like zero terracing behind the goals so we may have to do a Harlow and sit in their stand!

Personally, I'd rather watch the M25.

I didn't know England were playing until I saw the kick off time.

Do people still actually care about England's international team?

The FA don't....

Well I do! ... and I'm optimistic we'll beat Austria and Poland to finish top of the group. We've got some bloody good players and despite the recent little run of bad games, I still think we have an outside chance of winning the World Cup next year. (With 32 teams in the finals and about half of them being capable of winning it, it's always going to be an outside chance, whoever you are). Besides, if England do well in Germany the feel good factor will help us fill Princes Park. England are still in the driving seat and we have our destiny in our own hands. We have two home games to play and qualification looks highly likely because we have done so well in all our games up until Northern Ireland. People just seem to derive so much pleasure from slagging off our national teams (of every sport) Just look at the recent Ashes victory ... after the first test the papers absolutely ripped into the team and the entire country were taking the piss. A few weeks later and they're the toast of the nation, and yet just the tiniest change in fortunes during just one of those tests would have swung things the other way. Had that happened, the press would have been full of the usual crap and the English public would have lapped it up. It's never as bad or as good as people make out, and things can change very quickly in sport. All this negativity pisses me off, it's a national disease and I don't want any part of it.

Our national media has gotten into peoples heads again, Goebells like!

Wether we win lose or draw as Englishmen surely we support our national team through thick and thin?

I will always get behind the teams i love and there are 3 of them.

Sam Allardyce for his passion of the game, clenched fist and grimmace, a fans manager, heart on his sleeve, he'll do for me with Peter Taylor as his assisstant for the next England management. He has done superbly at Bolton with what he has had budget wise at his disposal.

The fans need to unite behind England, first the Rugby team did it then the Cricket and who knows.................

Oh and in keeping with the subject of the thread.......i am looking forward to our match as well!!

If the FA were serious about English Football, I might be a little more enthusiastic about the England team.

For me, paying someone the ridiculous amount they pay Sven, regardless of whether he's any good or not, and giving grass roots football peanuts to live on, specifically prize money in the Trophy and early rounds of the FA Cup, is plain bad management of funds.

Money generated at the lower levels of the game brings more talent through and makes the whole game stronger meaning less requirement for mediocre foriegners taking the place of talented English youngsters.

BACK ON TOPIC, rightly or wrongly, I have high hopes for a good result tomorrow for the important team in our lives. Probably because I haven't seen us lose yet but also because Potters Bar aren't exactly setting the world alight. We need a good start and good support. I am sure we can guarantee at least one of those two factors!

i suppose the big question tomorrow is whether TB will stay with the 4-4-2 or switch to the 4-5-1 as in many other away games

certainly a switch to 4-5 -1 would be hard on ian pullman but 4-4-2 does leave us very exposed in the midfield when playing with 2 wide men and recent result by us [ losing run] and PBAR[improving ] may push TB along the safety route

oh well , just makes it even more interesting for tomorrow !!!!!

Assuming they are all available and there are no injuries etc that I am unaware of, I'm sure it will be 4-4-2.

If so, the goalkeeper and back four picks itself ...

Hudson / G.Carter, Avery, Henry, Osborne

Up front is just as obvious ...

Pullman, J.Carter

The only decision to be made is in midfield, four from these six ...

Two of ... Haffner, Hayes, Martin (all 3 are worth a place so I don't mind)

and two of ... Spriggs, Briggs, McClements

This is the hardest decision and central midfield is our weak spot in my opinion. I'd have McClements and Spriggs in there because in the absence of Tostao, Eddie is still our most naturally talented player even if he's been having a poor spell and we don't have anyone better so you can only hope that he comes good again. I think Spriggsy is the least worst option for the other spot.

no problem with spikes team and on current form prefer spriggs to briggs , only ryder is that the midfield need one or more  of the wide men to tuck in when defending

howver looking for a good performace tomorrow

What a great start to the day.  Can we have early kick-offs more often?

Come on you DARTS!
