i am glad to hear eddie played well.i felt sure he was playing his way back to match fitness after the long injury.
also glad to hear the defence was good.i am beginning to think that kevin and the back line are   one of the best in the division.can anyone tell me whether henry was superb as i am becoming obsessed with his quality.i think we are very lucky to have him here and hope he stays for a.very long time.
he does not need telling as everyone knows their own fitness level but if he just lost five or six pounds he could well be the best centre half in this division.

I have to say though if I was the ref I wouldn't have given them 2 penalty decisions against Haffner either. The hand to face one was a joke he went down far too easily and should have been booked, if he'd been hit like that outside the Litten Tree do you think he would have gone down? This then cost him with the later decision because again he threw himself on the floor rather than at least make it look like he wanted to stay on his feet.
Apart from that I thought Haffner had a great game as did everyone I think. If we keep playing like this with all them home games coming you have to be thinking of a play-off place.

Come on you Darts!!

Hi Anthony, this is what a footballer in that situation tries to do, win a penalty!!

I'm not saying he shouldn't have gone down but in both cases he made it look so over the top that they both looked like blatant dives especially the 1st one so no wonder the ref was hesitant about giving the 2nd. I would be if I was the ref, I might have even booked him for the hand to face incident.
Anyway lets not get bogged down with these small issues I think we should be talking about Pullman and Haffners performances as well Henry again looking strong at the back.

The Anthony Henry/Richard Avery partnership in the centre of defence may well be the best in this league at this time. Avery is sure to learn a lot from someone of Henry's experience.

I spoke to Anthony Henry before the game and he was confident of 3 points. Before joining us he has played for Lincoln and was part of the West Ham youth team of 99/00 which I believe included the likes of Ferdinand, Lampard etc - some pedigree!

I think he's passing has got sharper and better in fact his overall game has got better and sharper over the last 3-4 weeks.

I hope that he stays at DFC for some time to come. As an aside his former employers at Lincoln felt that his best position was the centre of midfield. Personally I like him where he is.

An excellent game and a great result for the team and fans, full of near misses mainly from Ian Pullman as he gets better with each game and a just reward for Jimmy Carter to have at last someone up along side him who feeds off of his flicks or takes advantage of the space Jimmy creates by drawing defenders

Everybody contributed to the win from back to front with a team performance which took advantage of Ilford's weakness in almost all area's of the field.

The attendance of 235 was disappointing, just 2 more than our lowest gate against Waltham Forest, but if we were disappointed how did Enfield Town feel with only 200 at home (provided the figure is correct as they are normally averaging 313)) against table topping Boreham Wood.

Think you 'll find the Enfield attendance was 355 not 200 as published.

Since the switch to 4-4-2 at Chatham last week, we have played 4 games and have improved in spectacular fashion. I thought Saturday's performance was the best of the season ... until last night. Wow! I think we must have had something like 30 shots at goal. It was a brilliant game to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We look better now than we did when we had the 4 game run and (with the benefit of hindsight) I'm beginning to wonder if we won those games depite the 4-5-1 rather than because of it. Well done lads, a great team performance.

I'm not as excited as the others above probably because Ilford were quite frankly hapless.

Excited, not as excited as others.

It was an excellent performance. Chuffed with the way the lads approached the game. Superb entertainment. I agree that Pulman and Jimmy Carter are working increasingly better with every game.

It's great to be a Dart again. I have not seen much apart from Enfield Town and Waltham Forest that can challenge as on this form. On that basis, maybe the play-offs aren't so far fetched...
