i agree with most of the DFC posts on here.

a few dodgy tackles (FROM BOTH SIDES!)

I rekon about 800 fans(at least?) inside the ground.

the idiot Dover fan should have been thrown out and banned from the ground!

great defensive display from the darts.

blinding singing display from the darts fans behind the goal!

all in all a great day out!

YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE AT HOME!!!

As a Darts fan who has been fortunate to have witnessed  great Darts sides (with support to match), Saturday has reignited passionate support from me that i thought would never come back! I was 'pumped' up for the game and needed those lozenges after big time!

It was great to be back in a ground with a cup tie atmosphere again and we know that our players now revel in it! Remember that day well lads because we want to turn Princes Park into a place where great atmospheres will be the norm!

What a fuss some of the Dover fans are making as well!

Roll on Tuesday, win or lose you won't find me moaning and groaning.

Darts when TB gives the order, UNLEASH HELL!

Dover supporters have obviously forgotten what was being said during their match commentary, and that was that referee Venamore was being praised for having a good game in a previous match earlier in the season.

I assume Dover won that match though.

It may be that DAFC might do an FM broadcast from Stonebridge Road, but on Tuesday night I will be down at Prenton Park supporting Tranmere who are going through a very poor patch at present.

However, I probably wouldn't have listened to it anyway because the Saturday broadcast was so biased and unexciting, that guests in the broadcasting booth quite often were disagreeing with the match commentators on various aspects of the game.

To be honest, I might have expected there to be a bias reporting on a 'home' site, but nevertheless, one would expect some degree of  truthful reporting to be the order of the day. There was very little reporting on the match action itself, even for Dover supporters.

Again, I would also imagine that the commentary team are well used to guessing the size of the crowd, and when it was described as a 'healthy looking crowd', one would not expect it to be just aboput their lowest gate of the season, and then blaming it on the fact it was 'only a FA Trophy cup match'.

Where the commentary was correct was when they stated that the Darts were up for the match and treating it as such compared to Dover strolling through it as though they were expecting a league game. Certainly the Darts can not be criticised for Dover's lack of interest in the first half.

It certainly makes for an interesting return match, and whilst we accept the second half was very much a defensive display to protect our goal, the first half continued to see the Darts very much in attack mode even after scoring the early goal, to the extent the Darts were being described as the best team to visit the Crabble this season.

So, come on Darts, heads up again, and try and book ourselves a trip back down to Thanet, but this time Margate.

Forgive me but how can you give an unbiased and fair reflection of a game that you didn't even see? Instead of slagging off the coverage on our site why don't you do something about it. I can't make it Tuesday night so i'll listen to your live audio coverage of the game shall I or follow the game on your excellent live text service. And when the game's finished I can watch the highlights on your excellent Darts TV website. Oh no of course I can't because you don't have any of these things.

the singing behind the goal took me back to the good old days at Watling street.

imagine every game being like that.

hope to get my voice back soon!

Are there only 2 keyboards in Dover? Apart from Annom of Dover, the good Riverend appears to be the only Dover fan who seems to be bothered by the game. Or maybe he's the only one who can type?

Football I'd like to remind him is a contact sport, and people from time to time get hurt. I was unable to make the match but from what I've been reading, had any of these tackles been that bad I'd have expected to be reading about mass brawls on the pitch. But no, not a hint of any punch-ups, fights etc.

If you want to see a good example of bad play and refereeing I'd like to refer you to our recent game against Ilford, and for really bad fans why not pop along to Corby for a grand day out!

I was going to keep off this thread but your pontificating (I know wrong denomination) has gone on long enough. What you seemingly fail to grasp is that a draw allows both teams to earn a bit more cash but if your away support is that poor then Dover loses out.

Here endeth the lesson!

EXCUSE ME !!!!

By all means I will give the Club credit for having the facilities of a radio station and video playback for the the club, which the Darts do not at present have.

However, I was under the impression that by tuning into the commentary I was going to hear a commentary on the match action, and not an ongoing one sided verbal onslaught, whereby others who came onto the mic and disagreed soon appeared to be off the airwaves!

I am sure even Dover supporters who couldn't attend the match would appreciate a rather more balanced view of games, even allowing for a slight bias in favour of Dover.

It appears it is quite in order to criticise and slag off the referee during the broadcast, but not in order to criticise the commentator.

I was not the only one who found the commentary totally uninspiring!!

A serious question from me for once:

How many people have to attend a game for us to require either A) Stewards, or B) A police presence?

I just wondered baring in mind the 100's of Dover fans that are likely to turn up.

I'm fairly confident of one of our biggest gates of the season tomorrow night and am thoroughly looking forward to it.

By the way it was The Riverend White, in the billiard room, with the collection box - Cluedo, don't you just love it!
