gary must be busy today ?????

well after last saturday , aveley on a high with  2 consequetive wins after a poor start to the season , probably not the ideal time to play them !!!!!

with james carter absent on matramonial duties and no obvious replacement to flick on the trademark 40 yd balls out of defence, coupled with squad injuries , will be probably the biggest test of charactor that the chosen team will  have faced so far this season

i feel sure that ALL of the fans will be there on saturday as the team  will need every bit of vocal support that we can muster to achieve 3pts

anthony and richard will need to be on their toes saturday as leading aveleys attack is PURCHESS who got 2 goals when tilbury beat us over there last season

he is a tall lanky sod who latched  onto a couple of " ale house crosses " and that was it

still that was in the  " bad old days "

Yes, he's been a reasonably regular scorer in our division over the past couple of seasons, and for relatively weaker sides as well. I'm sure TB will be looking at him very closely on Saturday

On paper, it appears we have a good opportunity to string a run of results together. The next four fixtures sees us up against four sides in the bottom six of the league , a luxury(?) we haven't had for a long while. I know our form has been a bit erratic of late but perhaps this little cluster of games may be the springboard to pushing for a top six place ?? I fancy we'll take 9 of the 12 points up for grabs - an early xmas present for you regulars !!! We are due a good run...

I think that this game will be a tough tough affair, they have beaten Harlow Town and Rothwell, facts we cannot ignore. We need to be back to our best no question.

Unable to make the game as a kiddies firework display has taken precedence

I'm sure there'll be plenty of fireworks on saturday. It'll be a cracker of a match. I predict Pulman will sparkle up front and that Aveley won't be able to hold a candle (Roman) to our lads. And if they don't? I'm sure TB will give them a rocket at half time.

I'm not expecting a damp squib!

Right, I'm outa here!  :D

Has anyone thought of running "Corby Golden Goals"? Tickets cost £90 and the winner gets £1?

Good luck for saturday.

Lets hope for a good performance. We need to pick up points after the last few games, and what better time, than in front of the Stonehenge Road crowd? Come on you Darts!
