Much improved performance (dare I say it, it's like we've got two teams - one which plays at Stonehenge, and another which travels) yesterday, with Ryan Hayes, Steve Hafner and Eddie McClements taking starring roles. There's been some criticism of Ryan and Eddie lately, and I'll happily eat my words if Eddie continues playing like he did yesterday. It was like watching the old Eddie, in my opinion. There was a hunger, and some desire to play well which is a good, good thing. Ryan was obviously put out with his criticism and went out to prove a point, which he proved with 3 assists and a goal.

Well done to everyone today, an assured performance.

bit late with my post as only just got home after match[ not been celebrating the win , just been to my duaghters !!!! ]

i agree that it was a really good performance and ALL of the players deserve a pat on the back for the kind of performance that we have been threatening all season

i totally agree that ryan hayes played very well yesterday and hope he was  " a little stung " by some of the comments on the web as although one poster was very blunt , it was really what a lot of us regular fans were thinking but despite this we ALL want him to do well on a consistant basis

a comment was made at the match yesterday that TB thinks we are wrong to criticise players but having read many other sites i believe in real terms we are pretty gentle but there is no point of putting a load of flannel on in case some ones feelings become a little hurt !!!!

it is a game of opinions but i am confident that the darts fans are 100% behind ALL of the team but just remember we are f.....g human and we do care !!!!!

looking  forward to being at margate next saturday when i will be in full voice after my silence at the aveley game  [ not disallusioned just full of f.....g cold !!!!!

Quite right Duke, most comments on here are pretty constructive and even if they are not, it's only when those negative views are held by a significant number of people that they should be taken seriously. There's always the odd nutter who thinks Pele was crap or that David James is a world class goalkeeper and nobody should take them too seriously.

As for last week's little pop at Ryan (including the so-called harsh one from 5th Searcher), they were fully justified because virtually everyone felt the same way. This week however, Ryan gets nothing but plaudits and when he reads them he will know they are fully deserved because what people are writing on here is their honest opinion and not just sycophantic drivel. Ryan played really well on Saturday. It wasn't just his part in the goals, we already knew he could do that, it was the fact that he was tracking back with his opponent and doing the defensive stuff too. We know the guy's main role and real talent is in going forward so we're not asking him to make leg crunching tackles, just to hang in there and make life difficult for the opposition rather than just letting them stroll about unchallenged. I thought his response to last week's criticism was excellent so not only was it justified, it appears to have had the desired effect.
