The five so called idiots were in fact more like seven to eight, they entered the ground after kick off and walked through the covered side chanting for Wimbledon. They then approached the far end where they stood behind the Dartford fans who were singing for their team. One of the idiots from Wimbledon then picked up a very large rock (size of a football) and hurled it at the Darts fans, they then started a fight throwing punches at the Darts fans who understandably defended themselves. Fortunately this incident did not go on too long and nobody was injured. Bearing in mind what the day meant to us and who was present lets make it quite clear that at no time were any Darts fans to blame for this incident. As this has apparently occured at previous trophy games where Wimbledon were involved (at the hot bed of hooligans Ramsgate and Herne Bay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! combined home attendance of no more than about 100) it is about time that as a club Wimbledons officials and true fans rid the game of these idiots. In crowds of this size it is not difficult to identify them and ban them. So come on Wimbledon what are your plans for the future?

We have at least two tw*ts that are known to everyone at Dartford. One who has not been seen for a while but was there today (and should have been banned years ago). The other one always seems to be the first person to react when there's any sign of possible trouble (such as at Dover). If the Duke is right I hope we can find the other three as soon as possible ![/quote]

Thanks to all Darts fans for the welcome reception today. ALL Wimbledon fans enjoyed our visit thoroughly. Believe me when I say that those causing trouble do not come to home games. I have that info from people who come to our games for many years. I started following AFC a year ago and find the supporters extremely friendly. Hope many of you can come to Kingsmeadow and support your team on Tuesday. Congratulations for out-singing us today and we should repay the favour on Tuesday. Good luck with your new ground as well. Hope you are back were you belong asap.

Isn't it amazing? A flashpoint of trouble lasting a minute and its occupying nearly everyones minds! Its so rare at a Darts match so that must be the reason for the fuss. Its wrong but please do not let that sort of thing overshadow what was the Darts biggest game for years.

Today showed that when it matters (augers well for PP) the Darts support is there waiting in the wings, i always thought that when we do start climbing the league we will be well supported again BUT we do not need nutters please! My estimate if the 1082 is correct, is this;
350-450 AFC and around 600 of us.

A note to Dons fans that's not our ground and we provide zero catering etc so its not our fault, perhaps you can all come down to Princes Park when it opens (a friendly perhaps?), our club pays £25000 a season for that!

ronaldo - i agree but the 2 you are thinking about are " mouth merchants " and not seen any actual fistcuffs !!! one  of them got a smacking from a 50+year old darts fan last season and never threw a punch in anger  !!!

on a couple of occasions recently i have been privy to a couple of dart fans getting a telling off from regular dart fans for getting a bitr to close to  racist comments  so it can be done !!!!

99% of wimbledon fans are good guys [ as brazilan fans post confirms ] and i  for one am looking forward to the visit to them on tuesday

great commernt about out singing them - lets give it full throttle next week  !!!!

Heard the result on Radio Kent and TB's interview as I drove home from the hospital. What a great result!

I understand we outplayed them for much of the second half and had half a dozen chances in the last 20 minutes. Hudson was mentioned for his good play as was Martin and Hafner. I just hope too many teams don't get too excited and start targetting our players. If they do I hope we have them on contracts.

Mind you with PP on the horizon they'd be daft to contemplate leaving DFC.

Will be unable to make the return leg as Mrs H will need some serious TLC if released from hospital tomorrrow but I'll be with you in spirit.

Just a reminder - If you remember at the Tilbury game last season there was a group of so called Dartford fans slagging off the Tilbury team after we turned them over. Which was mentioned by a few of us on this site. I'm afriad that one of the drawbacks of succsess is that we ourselves are likely to attract a small band of "undesireable elements" to our matches. But as someone has said at this level it's not difficult to identify these individuals.

Well done to the team and staff at DFC, and I hope to see you at our next home game. Can someone let me know who this is against and when?

GOOD LUCK FOR TUESDAY!

Well done DARTS!

The only reasons that we are not through this round already are the Wimbledon number five and their keeper.  The save five minutes from time was a stunner and five kept their team at the back together, just.

Although we were missing James Carter, we still threatened from crosses.  Rather than wasting possession by hitting them high, they were low and hard, causing the defenders difficulties.  It would be nice if James is available on Tuesday as it would give us another approach to this match.

From the financial perspective, this was probably the result that the accountants were praying for.  It is a pity that we did not finish the job today, but I see no reason to fear the replay.

Dartford's approach was to go out and enjoy the match.  I am sure that the players did and I know the fans did.  The dream lives on.

Come on you DARTS!

Grassbank, J Carter will NOT be fit for the replay apparently and we will only be financially better off if we win the replay as the prize money is £3000! Other than that i hope you can make the replay and the throat is ok.

Surely we will be financially better off for the replay - don't we get a slice of the gate receipts ?????

I believe it's 45% split, with 10% to the prize pool, so we will be better off for the replay.

No Don. It was reported to me as a standing ovation.

I can only assume those in their seats stood up, and those on the terraces had stopped jumping up and down in their excitement!! Don't mock the fact that the Darts fans were applauding a very good performance from the team !!! After all, as underdogs, we might have been turned over by our higher league opponents - and we weren't, which I think is a great step forward by the team in front of some new/returning supporters and our biggest crowd since reformation.

I also think Gary is right with his figures on the gate receipts, which is why I said in my earlier posting that this was one of the benefits of getting a replay.
