Another great result, albeit not a great performance and not a very pretty game. First half we were dreadful, second half a vast improvement. I think we have some excellent players in our team, such that even when things aren't going too well, there's always someone who pulls a rabbit out of the hat. The biggest compliment I can make is that at 0-1 down, having played rubbish for 45 minutes, I still believed we would win. I think the players believe it too, that's why it happens.

Incidentally, that referee was awful. He tried his absolute best to spoil the game, blowing up for absolutely everything, anything and more often, nothing! He wasn't biased .... just crap. I couldn't believe how he kept stopping the game for totally innocuous challenges and then made huge howlers on things that really mattered. To mention just a few of his gaffs ... he gave us a corner when everyone in the ground could see it was a goal kick, denied our visitors what appeared to be a blatant penalty, ignored the fact that their number 3 elbowed Pully in the face, shoved Ryan into the wall, and kicked another Dart from behind when we were sodding about in the corner wasting time. I am so glad we won not least because I can say (without fear of being accused of sour grapes) he was bloody dreadful and I hope we never get him again ... even though his incompetence may have helped us to win the game.
