A game not unlike last years one when we lost 5-0 and Uxbridge had 10 men after the second goal.
This time the pitch was awful, not muddy just cut up and you couldn't find a flat spot anywhere just like playing on a roller coaster.
We weren't up for it at all and to be honest the result should have been closer to 5-1 to reflect the game, but thanks to several Kevin Hudson brilliant saves and their poor finishing it finished 3-1.
At 1-0 we had our only chance of the first half when Pullie turned the defender beat a second one and when it was harder to miss the target than hit it he went for power and blasted the ball just wide.
During the second half we struggled to create a single opportunity and until Eddie was brought on in place of Craig McGuire( not that he had done anything wrong) we didn't look like scoring.
The substitution together with switching Ryan Hayes into the middle and movng Haffie on the wing showed alot more promise, but not before Uxbridge did their usual trick of getting a player sent off, striking Haffie as they jostled for a corner before the kick was taken.
Uxbridge then scored again to go 3-0 up before we pulled one back and put pressure on to get a second.
Ryan took the goal well after hesitating (or taking his time, it seemed an age) as he received a cross from Stevie Haffner who had run down the line and then cut inside.
As Ryan celebrated you had to feel sorry for him as he looked straight at us fans behind the goal waiting for the reaction, of which there was little, as we knew it was all over bar the shouting( or not) with just a few minutes plus injury time to come.
However there was no way we would get any more goals and the final whistle blew with the result flattering us.
A poor show from all the players bar Ryan Hayes and Kevin Hudson and Haffie in the second half.
Lets hope that we have got our poorest game in defence for a long long while out of the way and we can start the new year with a win at home against Sittingbourne.
