I shall not be able to make the match as I will be away at H.O. and have juggled the following week to be at the Uxbridge game.

For me all I hope is that we come through the game without injuries as I would sooner we put all our efforts into the league games.

A cup run is nice but means each win brings another game to contend with and as we prepare to run in towards the end of the season, the fewer distractions the better.

However in saying this I recognise that a good cup run boosts moral and the coffers, but I would prefer a top 6 place or better come the end of the season rather than a piece of silverware.

It's nearly February and we are still dreaming of a promotion/cup double. It's been a few years ....

All the makings of another good match, especially after Ramsgate have gone to the top of their league after Saturday's result.

Funny how it's panning out this season. At the endof the game, we might get to know how good Ramsgate are. They are above Dover and playing better than Dover in their league (and who isn't playing better than Dover at present). Don't forget Ramsgate also played Wimbledon as well in the FA Trophy in the previous game to us.

Looks like a close game is on the cards !!

Reading between the lines in Tony's notes, I get the feeling we may not be giving this competition the total commitment we would if it were a league game which I suppose is understandable. I guess it wouldn't be a bad time to give Dominic a run as he has been playing so well in the reserves and has been knocking on the door for a few months. If so, I just hope that the rest of the team isn't mucked about with too much as I would like to see how Dom gets on in a full game with the regular players.

I hope we treat the game seriously as although the league is obviously our priority, this is a competition that we could conceivably win, and that would do wonders for morale and generate a lot of favourable publicity as we seek to win back lost supporters for next season.

Domanic won't be available tomorrow night due to work commitments so it's almost certain that we will be going with Pully up front.

Pully didn'y play at all on Saturday due to breaking his finger at work and with Tony knowing that neither Brendan or Dom would be available he didn't want to risk Pully.

Gary has added these notes to Tony's Managers Notes.

I think you are being a bit disrespectful there Gazza, especially if the 'Gate sneak past us into the semi finals. After all, they do have home advantage!

In my view, Ramsgate are not a team to be underestimated, and judging by reports, they fully deserve to have climbed to the top of their league.

Just hope your ditty doesn't rebound on us!!
