10th February 2006 Notes
« on: February 10, 2006, 11:57:17 AM »

Firstly I would like to comment on our first home league defeat of the season against Uxbridge. On the previous Saturday I had been to watch Uxbridge and Berkhamsted play, and yes I did think it was worth going. On Tuesday I felt some of my instruction were not carried out well enough and we found ourselves 2 down after twenty minutes although I think we should have been 1 up after five minutes which may have changed things. One of my instruction was that we did not get involved in the verbal with there players, they are very good at it and we are not.So what happened, from the free kick that lead to the goal they reeled our players in and about 10 of them took the bait and in my opinion our concentration on what we should have been doing went. Although we pulled a goal back just before half time the response I got in the second half was a little bit better but not good enough to get anything out of the game.Yes it is 3 points lost but we have to move on and hopefully the lessons have been learned.

We have a another very important game tomorrow against Rothwell were we will try and get things back on track and get the result that we all want.

On the injury front haffy who was carried off on Tuesday has some ligament damage to his ankle and knee which may keep him out for some time but I will let you know, Brendan is unavailable through personal commitments which I was aware of when I signed him and had to accept. These are a blow to team selection but you just have to get on with it. Ryan will be available tomorrow after serving a one match ban.
I hope you can come along and support the team tomorrow and that we can put on a performance that will get us back to winning ways

thank you for your support

Tony
