Another late goal conceded and probably not enough time to bounce back as all the full time scores are coming through on the TV screen.

Frustration reached new heights by Darts standards today with at least 3 guilt edged chances not going into the back of the net! The lads played their hearts out and eventually the visitors struck after receiving a free kick that was a shocking decision! If only super Kev had held the initial shot!

So the disasterous run goes on and our play off hopes in tatters unless we win a few on the trot.

Dinner will taste horrible tonight.

My thoughts are with TB and the team.

just looked at the other results of teams around us and basically no major damage done today as barkingm wivenhoe DREW, w forest LOST although chtham had a great win over bwood and are looking dangerous so still all to play for

todays game mirror imaged the game at enfield when they slaughtered us and we won 1-0 and vicki verki tpoday !!!

i thought the team played really well today with some really good football but not for the first ime this season we failed to kill off teams with guilt edged chances being missed and we just have to be more ruthless

my only frustration today was seeing davie and ryan trying long range speculative shots when a class striker like brendan is just waiting for the right ball [ brendan showed how to do it when he unselfishly laid on a sitter for davie which he rolled against the post ] - sign of inexperience on our youngsters part !!!!!

pity kev made the mistake for the goal but hell that guy has saved us gods knows how many points this season but hey kev thats your final mistake for  this season

my m.o.m. was eddie mac today but also thought that brendan lead the line pretty well and brad potter had a solid game [ ive always liked that lad , hope he gets a run

so still in the frame and todays game should have restored the boys confidence so watch out potters bar next saturday

the enfield fans were good sports[ including buying raffle tickets] and turned up in numbers for our biggest crowd of the season , so good luck
 to them

Sorry Duke but he still hasn't got anywhere near to convincing me yet. In fact if I hadn't heard of his previous goalscoring record I'd be wondering how he's getting in the team as he contributes absolutely nothing.

Well who else we got?

Its easy to apportion blame to an individual but the whole team needs to grow up and get stronger, we have great determination to make up for that but this suicide run of results must be halted fast if we are to stay in the play offs.

Brendan Cass keep the faith, he is learning to play in a new system for him and must be patient.

If 2 of the chances we wasted had gone in he wouldn't have been mentioned. We are scaring everyone with our fast attacking counter attacks but as a unit we lack size and strength, i'm sure that i am not the only one to see this but we can still do something special to achieve this we must start winning football matches and fast.

its a game of opinions but suggest that ronaldo looks at the positions that brendan is taking and NOT getting the ball because the two youngsters[ talented as they are ] are either just lumping high balls in from the wing or not lifting their heads when charging in on goal and trying speculative shots when bendan is gliding into space to tap in

trevB and i both spotted this with 10 minutes of 2nd half left when davie charged in on goal and 4 of  our attackers [ including brendan !!] peeled away to the right for a " dink ball " and he elected to shoot , the others body language said it all !!!

we did NOT bring brendan in to run around like a headless chicken but to score goals and so far he has hardly had a chance - not his fault

i hope he doesnt pick up vibes like yours as he needs to know the fans are behind him- suggest you take a wider look ????

At the end of the day we are all still Darts fans and we are all very much in this thing together, I just will not be drawn into picking out individuals for blame, to the contrary the last hour last week and most of today the players have earned respect bearing in mind we have had a departure and injuries to 2 key players.

Keep the faith, even after a nightmare run we are still in 6th but that could change if we lose next week..............

greg - totally agree i am certainly not having a go at any of the players but expressing a view which is there to be seen

none of our lads are the finished product and will benefit from TBs guidance and experience gained [ if occasionally painful] from a defeat like todays where we were undoubtedly the best team overall

i didnt see the barking game last week but the view was that it was a definate improvement on previous 3 games [ which i did see] so with the confidence gained from todays performance [ if not the result ] then it looks very promising for the rest of the season

I thought that in the first half especially Ryan Hayes was superb and crossed in a good dozen decent crosses, but nobody was on the end of them.  As a winger that's going to be frustrating, who can blame them for having the odd pot shot??  Nobody would be moaning about them if they had gone in, a couple of Stevie Hafners wonder goals this season wouldn't have happened if the players only shot when they were in the 6 yard box!

I'm just glad we have 5 or 6 players who have the confidence to have a shot, especially from outside the box.  I think these players should be encouraged to continue this style of play.  Go back 18 months and we didn't have any players confident enough to even look at the goal.

Brendan should be there ready to pounce on any rebounds after these long shots, he should be first there when the ball bounces back after hitting a post or being parried and I still believe that given a few more games he will be!

Things are good, we played great today and didn't deserve to lose.  But hey, that's karma, we took 3 points from them at their place when they were on top of the game much like we was on top today.

If you regulars are saying the team has been showing improvement and getting it together again in the past two matches, where it appears to have been 5 points lost rather than 1 point gained, then perhaps now has been the right time to have had our bad run. If we are coming out of it and can start by getting the points in next week against Potters Bar, then this would be as good as time as any to embark on a good run in the run in to the end of the season.

There seems to be a lot of fixtures coming up between the leading teams, including the Darts. So there is also going to be a lot of jockeying for positions in the play off positions. Stamford have gone on a storming run, even overtaking and pushing Corby down into 4th place. And despite our poor results, we are STILL in a play off position.

Yes, there is everything to play for in my eyes. And I'm looking forward to coming down to see the Borehamwood game and maybe, maybe, even the Chatham game too !

An excellent best crowd of the season today for us, obviously bolstered by ET fans as well, as the best two supported teams in the league met.

COME ON YOU DARTS.

A great game of football to watch today although at times the ref did attempt to spoil it a bit, a very unfortunate result which we really didn't deserve at all but at the end of the day Enfield only really had about 2 proper attempts at goal with 1 hitting the post and the other going in after what looked to be a fumble from Kevin unless the ball suddenly spun up at the last minute. We had god knows how many chances to have scored in that game and we missed or wasted every one of them as well as 1 hitting the bar and at least 1 hitting the post.

We really do have to start making these chances count and don't keep wasting or missing them. How many headed chances does Davey Martin want before he scores but he wasn't the only player to have not taken his chance in the game and apart from these misses i think he had yet another great game except for the odd balls that went astray from bad passing.

Both Eddie & Brad Potter had superb games in midfield with Brad seeming to look more settled and comfortable with each game he plays.

Ryan was having a great game in the 1st half tearing the fullbacks apart but seemed very quiet and virtually out of the game in the 2nd half but this was probably more to do with the ball hardly being played down the right side.

Brendon i personally think had a far far better game today was making some great runs at times and was laying off the ball well and knocking quite a few headers down to either Davey, Ryno or Eddie. He's still not there just yet with his goals but im sure they will start coming very soon, his main problem is that he's playing solely on his own up front when he's been used to having somebody playing alongside him.

I think you're being very harsh on Brendon with your comments Ronaldo because if you remember rightly James Carter hardly seemed to score at all when he played up front on his own either, most of James's goals have come from us having 2 up front. Im sure that if we changed our formation and had someone upfront with Cassy then he will start scoring more often.

The main thing from today is that we've played far far better than we have over these last few weeks and the players have really shown that fighting spirit today. There are still 2 players i would change from our starting line up who i still honestly don't think should be in the 1st 11 and i personally think we have 2 far better players who are generally on the bench but these players will remain nameless, Tony picks the team who he thinks is best at that time so it's his decision. Also on the plus side is that somehow the results have basically all gone our way yet again and we are STILL in the play offs. (Well at the moment anyway   )

Great attendance today with plenty of vocal support for the lads and fair play to the Enfield supporters who yet again were great sports at the end of the game shook some of our supporters hands at the end of the game congratulated us on a good game even though we lost and wished us well for the rest of the season.

 WELL DONE TO ENFIELD TOWN   &   COMMISERATIONS TO DARTFORD.
