as tony says the bad run will come to an end sometime and we hope it will be this game.
there are no grey areas this is a must win game ,anything less will be of no use.what we say on the forum has of no effect on the players so i dont see that anything said heaps pressure on the players.tony and the players make their own pressure.
we must win this game and anything less for me will be a big dissapointment, wingate are not a team of bullies and will play the game based on skill so they will also allow us to play.the most skillfull of the two teams will win the game.
i will be there with my cousin cheering the lads on.

In a way i think it can/does put a bit of pressure on the players at times as quite a few of the players read the website and read our comments of which some are good and praise the lads but also at times some comments are critical (some very) which can knock a player/s confidence especially the younger ones.

I know it should inspire them and fire them up to want to prove us supporters wrong at times which is great if it works like it did with the Ryno situation a few month's ago but it can set them back a bit as well.

Players need to take the rough with the smooth to do with the comments on here and hopefully not take to many things to heart because at the end of the day it's them that are fit & skillfull enough to be able to be out on that pitch week in week out and not us supporters, because if we were then given the chance im certain that everyone of us would be out there wearing the Black & White of our favourite club.

I think tomorrow we really do need to make some noise just to let Tony know we really are all behind him and that HE DOESN'T need to lift US supporters as he claims in the papers this week it's just the players that need the lifting.

To the players: You really need to get some confidence back into yourselves and IF we do manage to go a goal down then whatever you do for gods sake don't drop your heads but keep giving 110% and we will then score and hopefully more goals will follow. Play as a team and not as individuals, support & back each other up at every oppertunity and the results will eventually come.

To the management: You're all doing your best and we as supporters are 110% behind you all the way, somehow you just need to install some kind of confidence into the players and make them want to fight for their places and fight (not literally) over every blade of grass for the whole 90 minutes, make them want to wear the B&W colours of DFC and be proud to be wearing them. Im certain that there quite a few of the U21's that are just chomping at the bit to be given their chance in the 1st team so make them work hard for their places.

To the supporters: We are all doing our bit's in various ways financially to help the club and it's now up to us to help try to lift the spirits of the players from that 3pm kick off tomorrow until the 4-45pm final whistle and to help Tony try and boost some confidence back into these players who are all playing for OUR CLUB the mighty & proud DFC. So lets be loud and proud tomorrow and hope we can go out and stuff Wingate tomorrow or at least come away with all 3pts and hope we climb back into 1 of the Play Off places.

See you all tomorrow. UP THE DARTS.

i dont doubt anyones passion or support of this club and 5th is about as passionate as anyone could be but very often we write as if we are the manager coach chairman or captain etc but what we are is supporters.if players read postings about selection ,performance or tacticts etc i am sure they must have a chuckle sometimes.the only thing that matters is what tony paul and robbo say to them.
i firmly believe the only difference the supporters make to the players is the support and encouragement from the terraces or the criticism but thankfully there is very little if any criticism during a game
lets just get 3 points and then do some happy writing at the weekend

It seems that the Darts and the Rovers form this season very nearly goes in opposite directions.

At the beginning of the season it was the Darts' who started off strongly as the Rovers struggled.

Then when the Rovers had a good middle of the seaon, the Darts have struggled.

Well last night, the Rovers were beaten at home 1-2 by an improving Walsall side fighting to avoid the drop and deserving their win.

So hopefully, this afternoon, it is the Darts turn to get something from this game.

I'll probably be tuned in and looking forward  to any updates during the afternoon.

COME ON YOU DARTS - Back into winning ways please.

Maybe we should just focus a bit more on what we are good at. We have two of the most exciting wingers in the league and we need to get them in the game as much as possible. i.e. If we are going to play long balls, lets hit them into the corners rather than down the middle. Ryan has his faults, but at times he can be brilliant. Dave Martin is still learning, but he is arguably the best and most exciting player we have seen at our club in the past 15 years (He actually looks better than Jimmy Bullard did at this stage so who knows how far this kid could go?). Get the ball to these two as often as possible and let them do their stuff. That's how to get the Darts winning again. Looking forward to seeing another right back substituted at half time. Promotion is still a possibilty. Never give up. Up the Darts!
