Still no news, just looking at the table and it might put Waltham Forest back in it and above us if they've won...

All over 1-1 ...lots of loud singing sounded like there were hundreds there but about 250 by all accounts.

I'm going to merge this into the match thread - can we keep updates in the match threads? Cheers.

Fantastic goal from Teddy Ansell to still keep us in with a chance albeit a very slim one BUT there is still a bit of hope.

The lads really put in the effort but you could see especially in the 1st half that they could feel the pressure. The 2nd half was certainly better and we could well have sneaked it had the ball gone in off the tip of Ryno's boot instead of bouncing to the keeper.

Fingers crossed that Enfield and Corby can do us a favour next week and win and that our boys pick up all 3 points.

Corby will certainly be going for it for their own sakes more than anything else.

What ever happens next week you done us supporters really proud this season.

Congratulations to the much deserving Dave Martin for winning the John Stevens Home player of the season award with 67 votes.

Very close behind in 2nd place with 60 votes was Kevin Hudson and third with 17 votes was Richard Avery.

Well Done to all 3 of you.

Not a lot more to add than what Matt said, really.

Gutted that Dave hit the inside of the post at the death, but it fell to the one place that wasn't with one of our forwards covering it. No-one could ever accuse the lads of not trying today, and that's all we ask. 100% effort is all I ask, and today was the perfect example of everyone giving their best.

I know we would not be favourites to get that last slot now, but whatever happens, lets go out with a bang. I believe in you guys, and you should all be very proud of yourselves for the whole season.

Congrats to Dave for winning the Player of the Year accolade as well.

A fantastic game, great goal, pity about the result and the atmos behind the goal in the second half must have helped the players. if it did, pleased to have been some help lads.

Sadly, during the goalmouth scuffle near the end of the match, an object (cheese roll I think) was thrown at the Harlow defender which caught him right in the side of the head. Granted it was a good throw, granted it was the only thing that had connected with his head all game, but the point is throwing missiles is something that could get us deducted points, fined etc.

Imagine had we won, Wivenhoe had lost, and then we get a point deduction for things being thrown onto the pitch?

Also does anyone know how Brad Potter was - It looked to us behing the goal that he may have broken his arm or wrist - Get well soon Brad & well played.

custard- liked most of your post but one bit didnt need to appear as " blown out of proportion " springs to mind  !!!!

late post as im just back from week end away

no need to add much just that i thought the team tried 100% and thats all i ask

one smashing moment for me that sums up the quality darts fans is that when ryan hayes missed the open goal from 5 yards , the immediate chant of RYANO went up as a show of our support , many other fans would have been slagging him off !!!

thats class and a  burger bun pales into insignificance !!!
