Duke, it was just that their site was down for a while, as was the SL website, but thanks tho anyway.
Both sites are now back up and running, so I have seen the Darts up in 2nd place behind Cray, who actually play at Dover on 9 Sept.

i agree with trevB that the kingstonian goalkeeper  was quality and never put a foot wrong and when kev eventually retires,  i wouldnt mind seeing him between our sticks !!!!!

i also thought he was a good sport as well , which was epitimised by him getting straight up from a jay may challenge , when his "  tart of a colleague,  no 5 "  wanted to make an issue of it

i understand that two guys have just bought the club and will be giving the manager another £2k a week for players , so good chance they will be in the promotion hunt at the end of the season

For the statisticians, the Ryman website has now amended Dover attendance to 706 from the original 72.

Listening to an interview with Kingstonians manager Stuart McIntyre on their website he claims that their keeper is without doubt the best in the league and that they also put an offer in to buy the Molesey forward Phil Ruggles but Molesey said no thanks.

It did make me laugh listening to this interview as their manager sounded full of s**t with some of the things he was coming out with.

I thought Kingstonian were a very good side who I expect to see in the mix at the end of the season. Darts did extremely well to hold on for the win against such worthy opponents. For me, MOTM was between Kevin Hudson and Eddie McClements both of whom were excellent, with Dave Martin close behind. Everyone played their part though. Well done lads and good luck tomorrow.

Can someone please clarify a rule for me:
Relating to the Kingstonian goalkeeper having such a good game as quoted by some of the other website members:
Is a goalkeeper allowed to come out of his area and take a throw in without "committing handball" outside of his area, or is the ball not in play until He has taken his throw in???
This was brought to my attention by my 6 year old Junior Dart when the incident was passed off without any "questioning" by the linesman or ref.

The ball's out of play, so the gk can take the throw if he wants.  Otherwise it would be handball when any of the 11 players took a throw right?

Same throw in rules apply, so he can't throw it into his area then go and pick it up.

With regards the match, I thought Eddie had a great game, as did Kevin and Davie Martin.  I think Dave will suffer the same fate in the MOTM voting as Kwashi used to and will get less votes then he deserves as we're so used to seeing how good he is.  If yesterday was his debut and we saw how he took the p155 out of the fullbacks on both sides then we'd be raving about him today.

If I could split my vote yesterday then it would go jointly to Dave and Eddie, both pure class.  Superb goal line clearamce from Haffy too, easily as valuable as one of his 30 yarders!

great question from Yiddart and i for one would not have kbnown the answer but fortunately we have our own professional statto [ take a bow TLD ,  top man !!!]

as for the davie martin/kwashi quote from TLD then i dont agree   !!!

i am a big davie martin fan but MOM awards are made for either brilliant individual  contributions or tireless team support beyond the call of duty and whilst davie made the only goal he did NOT achieve anything else albeit he tried hard

on the other hand kevin hudson made 2 superb orthadox saves plus 1 with his legs which undoubtedly won us the game so without question he deserved MOM

finally i also thought that eddie mac had a really good game

It is a good point TLD about Davy, but I think I was fair to him in my posting and gave him plenty of mention and I also agree that Eddie also had a very good game running and chasing after the ball and either could have had my vote, probably Davy shading it, but my vote went to Kevin on this occasion due to his three cracking saves which made sure we held on for the win and after his rare mistake on Monday night I think he proved he was back to his best.

You are right when you say Kwashie didn't pick up enough M.O.T.M. awards and I'm not sure who used to judge them, but on our postings I think we all gave him great credit for his magical moments and for those instances of sheer genius when he changed a game.

Probably coming from a much higher standard of football and tending to drift in and out of the games at times meant fans tended to  pick younger less talented players who had to graft through the 90 minutes just to ensure they were in the side for the next game, to give them a bit of confidence and show them support, whilst we all knew who's name was always going to be first on the team sheet. KWASHIE

One thing we never had doubt about was his loyalty and commitment to the club whilst wearing a D.F.C. shirt, something I believe can also be said about Davy Martin M.O.T.M. or otherwise.

For me, Eddie got the nod as MOTM. I've been a critic of Eddie in the past, but I truely believe we're seeing the best of him now. He looks fit, he looks eager and he is providing the spark which we all saw when he first came on loan to us.

Katies first game of the season, which she enjoyed because for the first time I've allowed her to blow that hooter and not had to tell her off for being too noisey.

I thought we battled well after taking the lead and won the midfield battle.

The Ref seemed to have some unusual moments though, especially in the second half when he couldn't decide whether to award a corner or goal kick.

I can't put my finger on what it is that's different this season with the squad, all I can see is that the team seems more at ease with itself, Which comes I suppose, with the familiarity of retaining the same players from last season to this. But whatever it is, it's great to watch.

Well done to all concerned
