I would say that these 2 games will be the toughest of the season, forget the league table after only 4 games, we must be at our very best to overcome a Hastings side desparate to improve after a dodgy start.

Quite so Gregg,

The guys mustn't get complacent. We have a golden opportunity over the next 2 games to cement our position at the top and progress in the Cup. If Hastings didn't already have a reason for upping their game then they do now.

These could be tricky games. Let's get some quick goals and finish them off.

If you can keep your head whilst all those around you are losing theirs, then you may have seriously misjudged the situation!

all games will be " tricky " this season and i dont reckon hastings will be the trickiest

its all about having the right level of confidence with the right standards and TB will be ensuring that this is the case

if { ??] hastings beat us then it needs to be that they played well otherwise its unacceptable

i really dont think we need to lay in bed worrying about this one  !!!!

We seem to be fairing better this season catching Burgess Hill cold first game (now they are improving) and now for once getting to play a team at the bottom early on so we must capitalise on this and get the right result as they too will I've no doubt get stronger as the season goes on.

Fresh from their win in the cup mid-week I expect them to be up for the game on Saturday having scored a few goals and to be playing against us at the top of the league they know they have nothing to lose, so we must stamp our authority on this game from the kick off and be looking for another of those early goals, only a win and three points is acceptable and I'm sure Tony will be making that very point.

Get this game out of the way with the right result then we must concentrate even harder for the cup game because so often in the past we have won league games quite easily and then lost to the same opponents in the cup, both games are at home so we must make the advantage count and get some extra cash in the coffers.

Same side I would imagine with just the question of whether John Farley is fit or Danny White retains his place and has Ryan done enough making two second half goals to replace Haffie from kick off.

Personally, I thought Haffie was man of the match last week so I would be disappointed to see him lose his place. I know Ryan is great fun to watch, but (as results would tend to confirm) I think we look more organised and more effective with Haffner on the right, especially with just the four across the middle. He may not be quite as exciting as Ryan but is more disciplined and a better defender. Ryan can produce moments of magic, but its a great option to be able to see him come off the bench to really liven things up if necessary, if one of the wingers is flagging or maybe if Cassie isn't getting any joy. Personally, I feel safer with Ryan in Cassie's position because it has less defensive responsibilities. He's still a great player for us though, its nice to have dilemmas like this one.

Lets all take a good look at the league table today, enjoy the moment, get up Saturday and FORGET it!

The total focus (and 110% commitment, ok Don?) on winning and not having any thoughts of things like, 'we've arrived' or we only 'gotta turn up' etc is very important, Hastings will be so up for this game, they will be fighting and battling to improve their poor position and its up to us all (on and off the pitch) to provide great support for each other in the quest for another 3 points.

Good luck to all concerned tomorrow, lets keep the good form going.

Confidence is obviously very high for todays battle of Hastings, it will be interesting to see how we cope - it was games like this where we dropped valuable points last season that cost us the play offs. Reading your reports if the players are as confident us you lot we'll walk it today !! Enjoy the game, hopefully Kebabus will keep me updated and I'll keep the exiles informed on here. Up The Darts !
