Sorry old Hunky Honky, I have to disagree on the pen - might have taken the ball cleanly but went through the back of the attacker which always, always = foul.  Agree or disagree but that is the rules!  Also, just to clear it up and contrary to other reports, the lino did put the flag accross his chest, albeit briefly, to indicate a penalty.

Not sure about the Kev incident - everyone I have spoken to seems to have a different version of events, so maybe the ref did get that right too!  No matter what, Kev was a great servant for Maidstone and a great bloke so won't hold last night against him.

Don't moan about it though - you still got a deserved victory!

Nice work from your front two for the second goal by the way - they should put you in good stead for the rest of the season.

kebabus is right, the word lucky is spot on
i like clever players and we are lucky to have them and it is the promise of better things at PP that brings them here
it is easy to find players that do as they told by coaches, but what they do is ONLY what the coach tells them and the game becomes very predictable.i am not talking about anyone in particular but take a full back who always plays the ball down the line, a centre half that always hoofs the ball,a midfielder that always plays the ball at pace at the centre forwards chest.
i think we have henry who can play long and short and can turn and beat forwards
we have eddie that can change the pace of his game
we have brendan that can ghost and trick players
we have dave martin that can play on both wings

these players can do off the cuff things that change the course of games

yes we are lucky to have these players and i hope they stick around for a while yet

Speaking to the ref post game.  The chase for the ball by Nick Barnes after scoring the penalty will be deemed 'incitement' next season and wll be yellow carded - FIFA again!  People who have never played the game making the laws up as they go along!

Kev did the right thing - wrong dev#cision by ref - gave MUFC false (& undesrved hope) so Kev played his part in slowing things down - he is a DAER after all.

cass can easily be a good player at a higher level.
He still hasn't convinced me that he can be a good player at this level.

And as ever, sort your prices out! The kids ones are just stupid, especially with a whopping great thurrock kids for a quid sign at the turnstyle!

Didn't you want one then?
You won't find them cheaper anywhere else.

By the way, can anyone tell me (as a relatively new poster) how to create the purple quote boxes?

Just click on the quote button above the relevant posting. This will insert the whole of the post as a quote (in the purple box).
Then highlight and delete any part of it that you don't want.
