Agreed, and I think Tooting had probably done their homework on us, and decided to chase and harrass us, close us down and give us no time to play our usual passing game..... and of course Dave Martin hardly had a look-in all night!

As a football fan there are some things you have to come to terms with. Your team will have good days and bad days. It will field players you like  :-) and players you don't like :-(. The manager will occasionally make decisions you don't agree with or don't understand the reasons for. I think you have to look at things long term to get any kind of rationality about how the team and the manager are doing. As far as this year goes, I reckon a play off place would be a very successful season. I don't EXPECT this, but I think its a reasonable target. Another near miss where we were involved right down to the wire (like last year) wouldn't be the end of the world either. Anything below half way would be under achieving unless it was supplemented with some cup success. I think that's a fair assessment of where we are at and so far Tony Burman has done an absolutely first rate job. We have a young team and young players are often erratic. There is a temptation to come on here and write the first thing that comes into your head after a game, but its probably a good idea not to get too excited when they have a bad (or even a very good) day. Generally speaking, things are rarely as bad or as good as they seem.
