Took a stroll up to the ground this morning to get a better look at the gates - impressed to see what I could through the fence (Advertsing boards!), the gates look truly impressive. There were also people working at 9.50 when I was up there!

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT PRESENTATION GARY !!

Perhaps is also now the time to give a timely VOTE OF THANKS to all those guys at Jackson Construction who have done the physical work to turn the green field site and create it the marvellous facilities that we are now seeing before us at Princes Park. I always thought the original timescale was a touch optimistic. But wow, what a result we now have!!

THANKS A LOAD LADS. WELL DONE. AND THANK YOU.

That's a really nice slideshow Gary.

Are you planning to add opening day shots?

I've just sent an e-mail to the Ecolocal webmaster describing the "green" features built into the stadium, such as: grassed roof, solar panels, timber cladding, below ground level-pitch to reduce noise and light pollution, water-recycling lake. I hope that will set their members' minds at rest (one of their posters had the gall to doubt that there would be any other "green" features bar the roof!).

This writeup has recently been put up on the Southern League website.

Dartford – The Darts enjoyed a long and successful membership of The Southern Football League at their Watling Street ground before the club ceased to trade in 1992. After reforming under new management, despite enduring several years ground sharing, Dartford won back its place in the Southern League. Now, thanks largely to Dartford Borough Council, the Darts have hit the bullseye. The club has returned to the town and will officially open its new ground at Princes Park next Saturday. The Southern League wishes everyone connected with Dartford Football Club good luck at the new ground. Welcome home.

Wow. Just the last two words "Welcome Home", sent a tingle down my spine.

This Saturday will be AWESOME...literally...full of AWE. I really cannot wait! The only thing holding me back are the natural laws of space and time.
