Back slightly on topic but here's an update:

Season tickets holders, including junior darts, will receive their match tickets this week, as will the patrons and vice presidents.

Those who have asked for seating because of age/disability are prioritised and will receive additional passes closer to the day.

I expect the Friday night invites to be sent next week.

Does this include the tickets for the Supporters Association committee as well because at present i've not heard anything about these tickets.

I've asked Ken a few times but he doesn't seem to know whats happening either. If they are being sorted then i won't order a ticket otherwise i'll need to contact the Orchard box office quickly.

Thanks.

You don't need to contact the box office.  I thought all DFCSA ctte members were season ticket holders though?

Either way don't worry.

I think only a couple of members are season ticket holders.

Thanks for your quick response.

It isn't in the plan for this to happen.

Don't forget that this isn't the official opening of the ground - rather, just the first game there.

Won't the Reserves have their own match on the day, anyway?

I wish people could express a view without the need to get all shirty about it. I don't suppose this is a deliberate snub to the reserves or juniors, more likely that the idea never occurred to anyone. Blues Brother ... If you think this is something they would want, why not just get in touch with the people in charge and put forward the idea, rather than getting upset about it. We are all part of the same club and I think its quite a good idea, especially for the youngsters, to be made to feel part of the same family.

I'm going to adopt the Dave T position and agree with Spike. There's so much going on for everyone involved, that suggestions should be offered.

I agree.

And perhaps as well as making the suggestion, perhaps an offer to co-ordinate the suggestion might be well received too?

I've been critical about the lack of communications (from DFC), but I can appreciate that the people involved are doubtless innundated with the tasks of making the arrnagements for the big day. But from the other perspective, if we are not asked to help in certain specific areas, then we can't be blamed for not doing so!!

Perhaps some of the juniors could be ball boys around the pitch for the day.
