I have to accept that the darts tactics of punting long  high balls into the oppos half and not using any of the substitutes is correct and that eventually it will all come good and we will reap the benefits.

I sincerely hope you're being ironic there, Duke.  :?

hunky - an honest comment as tony , robbo and skip have played 1000s of games between them at a high level and have assembled THEIR team and  THEY decide tactics,  so they must believe that it is right , so how can a humble mortal such as me challenge that ????

we have come a long way since mr sampsons departure and i [ and all dart fans ] desperately want to see us develop into a side that can move up through the leagues and i have to believe that this is the correct way forward  !!!!

Thank goodness this match wasn't played next week as the P.P. opener because any neutral or first time fan plus some of the old ones returning would have decided to go home at half time, such was the standard of football offered from both sides and as for the bowling green pitch at P.P., the ball would have hardly touched it.

In defence of the back four, we did have to defend against these tactics with a difficult sun in the eyes, but can offer no excuse for most balls being cleared out of defence high into the air whilst under no pressure and more often than not going out of touch as we tried to find a white shirt, whilst accepting only the odd last ditched punt into the crowd.

Second half much better as we got the ball wide to both flanks with Ryno and Davey taking on defenders, but the last pass was poor on most occassions giving the hard working Cassie little or no reward for his running into spaces, as Ryno didn't put in those dangerous crosses but chose to go for goal most times from long range and Davey taking one touch too many before crossing and allowing defenders to close him down as he tried to get the ball into the box.

Head and shoulders above our other players, Eddie stood out upon his return and showed the touches we have come to expect from him with his turning, twisting and dropping of the shoulders allowing him enough space to put in the 2-3 yards of quick acceleration getting him away from defenders and then putting in accurate passes, unfortunately most times he had to win the ball himself from the opposition rather than receiving passes out of defence.

Summing up they had one chance and took it hitting the post with the shot but seeing it go in, we had two chances one of which Ryno put wide off goal as he side footed a volley from a cross by Davey on the right (one of the times they switched wings) and the second one Ryno hit the post and saw it rebound out.

On the second chance which has been debated in other postings and which we will all see differently, I am not going to criticise Ryan because in other games we have seen him dribble around two or three defenders in the box then shoot home, this time he chose to dribble round the keeper went a little wide turned went back round the keeper and in an effort to beat defenders now on the line he hit the perfect shot hard and low across the face of the goal but unfortunately it struck the post and came out instead of going in.

We lost because we conceded an 88 minute goal another late one and when the forwards aren't scoring 1/2/3 goals this is a costly mistake, you can't blame the referee I thought he was very good (bar not speaking to their goalie for time wasting) and as for substitutes and whilst I don't agree with it, Tony, Paul and Steve are in charge, so if they leave it late before making a change then so be it.

I am new on here, but I enjoy reading all the postings ,even those that I don't always agree with. I thought that we played into Eveshams hands on saturday ,they came with a gameplan which at best deserved a draw and ended up nicking the the tie, we only have ourselves to blame lets face it we didnt give them enough problemsin their penalty area over the 90 mins but on the other hand I thought that we deserved another crack at them at least

Very, very disappointing performance - lets hope for the additional 3900 who didn't make it on Saturday that this is not what is on offer on 11/11.
i thought we were awful first half - a real case of before the lord mayors show. in fact if it weren't for a fantastic save by Kevin from a free header at a corner we could easily of trailed from quite early on. Second half we were better and had a spell of good pressure which evesham coped with relatively well. Ryans much debated chance  was unfortunate as the ball came back from the post at a strange angle, we were right behind this and can't believe it didn't go in off the post.
As for the Jimmy Carter debate, would of thought that 15 minutes would have been a minimum as I am sure the club would have wanted a win at the first time of asking rather than a potential midweek trip to worcester. In the end it was academic as the visitors produced a late scrappy winner. I would probably have taken Brendan off as his second half contribution was poor.He really doesn't put defenders under enough pressure for me when the chips are down and the games are close. His recent record would suggest he is on fire but somehow it still seems he should be doing more.

Would have to agree with most of the other posters in that the first half was pretty non existent , second half we were alot better but credit to Evesham in that they had a game plan and stuck to it even though I thought we deserved to get something out of it.I see through the F.A website that they have been drawn away to Hemel Hempstead in the next round.
I will also agree that Eddie Mac was by far our best player.Maybe a few minds were on next Saturday.

Hemel Hempstead Town FC v Evesham United FC

This should have been us!

I agree 110% with our manager, losing at this stage is a bitter pill to swallow.

The players should have been playing for a place for the big one, Eddie is assured of a start then?

After looking at the MOTM votes i would think that Eddies name is the first on the list.

It's certainly the first time i've seen a player walk away with the votes so easily, with only 3 other players getting 1 vote each.
