You're not the only one who had a lump in his throat this morning Skip, i certainly had one after my first sight of the stadium on Friday night but listening to Radio Kents coverage again today it then really hit home.

It's bl***y awkward trying to drive with the odd tear in your eye. You could just feel all the emotions of the day coming back again after hearing the screams of Cassie's 1st goal going in and then the other 3 goals, especially Eddie's screamer.

Absolutely fantastic. It's what we've all been painfully waiting for over these last 14 or so years and now it really is here. :-D

Having not had access to a computer from Thursday night until yesterday , it took me most of the day to catch up on all the postings [ that will teach me to take a day off !!] and the same this morning. I must echo most of the other postings in that both Friday night and Saturday were amazing. As I had never been inside the ground before Friday like some , I was like a small child on xmas day morning when I walked in.It was lovely to see so many friends all with the same look on their face.
As for Saturday , good build up , got there nice and early and even though decided on staying behind the same goal all match with the one and only Mr. Clark. The whole day was like a cup final with a real sense of atmosphere, too long has it been since the darts have played in front of a big crowd. It was interesting to see how our defence plays as I normally stand behind the goal we are attacking. Given the pressure the boys must have been under , they played well , still a little concerning about set pieces , the second YMCA goal being similar to the third at Welling but with attacking players like Ryan , Dave , Brendan , Eddie and Nicky we are always likely to score goals. Eddie Mac for me again gave a good all round display , he just links the midfield with the forward line so well.
All in all a memorable day , thank you to all who made it happen , a day that will live long in the memory and cannot wait until tonight.

Princes Park is superb, it took my breath away when I saw inside the stadium for the first time.

Not really a time for criticism, but I have to comment on the floodlights. I agree with Custard, the penalty areas were ok, but in the centre of the pitch the lighting was very poor. Improvements must be made as a matter of urgency.

One other slight criticism, the public address system could be heard loud and clear before and after the game, but the announcements when substitutions were made were too quiet and seemed to be rushed.  The vast majority of spectators would not have known the players and it was very difficult to hear who was replacing who.  Or is it me going deaf ?

Thankyou to the Council and everyone at the Club for all you have done and having the belief that Princes Park was not just an impossible dream. You should all feel very proud.
