Bugger! Oh well, on the plus side I guess, at least we won't have the potential albatross of waiting for the first home defeat at PP to come... get it out of the way and concentrate on the league.

Pete... can't wait to see the new ground!

Onwards and upwards

At least we will be able to concentrate on our league position now, starting at Cray on Saturday.

Nudge nudge wink wink indeed! True they were classy but the turning point was Cassies superb shot that shook the bar just after they scored. Their first looked a turgid mistake from Ossie. 2 own goals on top of that! Well done to Boredem good good luck etc as for us back to the league now...................

Pls tell me it gets better?

I'm sorry but slow and patient football works if you have decent players but two small forwards and crossing doesn't make sense to me.

Bad 1st game or is this the standard I should expect?

I think definatly we were outclassed tonight not sure if they played their 1st team tonight either :(

As an observation from the last few games ive been able to attend we have been shakey at the back  :|

once pressed we cant seem to clear the ball and for me the most worrying part is Tony Henry is due for suspention soon

Come on Darts lets try get some control back :)

Cheers Dan

From what i understand Henry will be suspended for 1 match which is away to Leatherhead next week.

Yet another great gate tonight, and have to agree i think we were outclassed tonight. Their defence wasn't that great at all apart from the big No4 but they kept Haffy, Ryno and Davie Martin out of the game.

Now we really do have to concentrate on the league, start picking up the points and keep the pressure on the other tops teams. Starting with Cray on Saturday.

The turning point for me was when our opponents removed Eddie from the game.  We were in with a shout until then.  Boreham Wood appeared to rely on pace and the long ball over the defender.  They were quite good at it. Typically, they were very good at the nudges and tugs that make it difficult to run with the ball yet are rarely penalised by the officials.  This is something that we must wise up to and become better at ourselves.

It was an entertaining game and Boreham undoubtedly deserved their victory.  Sad to see yet another keeper blatently wasting time throughout the match.  I consider this a true sign of a player who has no confidence in himself or his team.  The only person on the pitch who could have stopped it decided to take no action, other than to wave to the keeper on occasions.  It was very effective (chocolate and teapot spring to mind).

Hope the result wil not deter the new found fans although it would be nice to get the car parked in time to soak up some atmosphere in the bar.  Never mind, it is a nice problem to have, although the council may need to consider the phasing of the traffic lights on match days and evenings.

See you all Saturday week.

Come on you DARTS!

You need to give it a bit of time Deano as it will get better, don't forget we was playing against a team from 1 league above us who are about 5th in the league.

It wasn't our normal full strength squad out tonight due to players being cup tied or just rested.

Please stick with us and you'll soon be wanting more.

Sometimes as Darts fans we have to accept defeat! Awful mistake for first goal and 2 own goals what can you say! Don't be unduly alarmed, we had Lew Watts and Barnes cup tied and Davie Martin on the bench, Jay May is injured so there were changes in the team.

The time will come when 1 or 2 will be dropped as our playing budget is increased for more quality, i'm sure there will be a beeter result Saturday when its back to league action.

Us regulars who have supported the team through some dark days welcome all new fans and ask for patience, Dartford are back!

What did start really getting on my nerves was the tannoy going off every few minutes about people standing in the walk ways. There really was no need for it the amount of times it went off.

I can understand it more during the game but not before the game has even kicked off, people were waiting to find out which way we were going to be kicking after the toss up so they could decide which way to go and all you got every few minutes was Dave Skinner playing with his new toy rabbiting on about being in the walk ways.

It really was starting to get up peoples noses.

Announcing the man of the match quite early was the kiss of death as well!
