Also sends the right message to our new local fans that it is well worth turning up again at PP on Saturday for the Sittingbourne game, when I'm sure there will be a few goals scored again. Another defeat tonight might have made some people think twice to give it a miss on Saturday, but now that we have bounced back and won against a good side, I'm sure it will encourage fans back for another taster, so it was a very important match to win tonight in more ways than just the points.

I'm certainly keeping the Faith and looking towards Saturday positively.

Wise words indeed, come on ALL Darts fans especially new ones, add your support Saturday at PP, you know it makes sense!

For me, last night was one of the best performances of the season. We showed some get up and go, and really had some balls to go out and battle like we did.

MOTM for me (only shaded it from Brad and Haffy) was Guest, who in my opinion was like a rock.

Would agree with Gary in that John Guest made a big difference at the back, my MOTM. Good to have Jay May back leading the line well , also Stevie Hafner running around like a terrier at times had his best game for quite a while.Brad came in and did a solid job and Nicky Barnes looked alot more settled last night and was always putting his foot in.Leatherhead did start well and if they had scored rather than hitting the bar it might have been different but it was great to see the boys work hard , close down the space and still play some good football even though we did drop a little too deep near the end. Had the chance to go to see Arsenal last night but glad I stuck with the Darts. A very enjoyable way to end my birthday day.
Looking forward to a good crowd and another good performance on Sat.

Wow a win and a clean sheet!!! Impressed with Guest but Kevin Hudson was MOTM for me. He kept us in it with some phenomenal saves when our backs were against the wall in the first half. It was a very good team performance, very good work from Barnes, May and Haffy. I would like to see the Avery/Guest partnership continue for the next few weeks at least as it looks very promising.

Not one of our prettiest performances by a country mile, but the result was great and exaclty what was needed. It was good to see a battling spirit in the team, and we've lost a lot of matches like that recently where we've surrendered leads or late goals, so a clean sheet was great to see.

I'm struggling to pick MOTM but I guess it has to be one of the defenders, and I'm going for our skipper Ossie who I feel just edged it. Special mentions also for John Guest (very solid debut) and Kevin Hudson.

At the time I felt a little disappointed that we didn't play a bit more of our passing game, other than a few odd spells, but as I'm sure TB told the team, it was more important that we got a result last night - and we did. Well done lads!

Now bring on the Brickies Saturday - this should be a good match.

Come on you Darts!

A great result after Saturdays game. Everone gave 100%. There supporters were very friendly and some of them could remember the FAT match, when our coach turned back after receiving a hoax call that the game was off. Did anyone see the old book junk shop that they had at the ground? strangest thing. They are trying to raise £25000 for ground improvements, I suppose their FAC run helped. When you think what we have got now you realise how lucky we are.

Very pleased with the result last night
Still not sure the reason why the 2nd goal was disalowed though does anyone know?
We could have scored a couple more but there keeper managed to pull off 2 decent saves to keep them in with a chance of a point which they didnt get ha ha.
Felt the referee had a dodgy game. But the lino was worse. Towards the end gave everything leatherheads way.
But 3 points in the bag is the main thing
Bring on sittinbourne

Back from two days at head office so now a chance to post and say very well done to Tony and the lads on a hard fought win and sweet revenge for the defeat at home.

Still dodgy at times at the back but the difference in this game was that everyone was covering each other and bodies were getting behind the ball and blocking shots or getting stuck in with the tackling.

The midfield was not brilliant, lacking the finess and class when Eddie's not present, but Haffy had a good game and gets my M.O.M. and Lew Watts and Nicky Barnes battled well.

John Guest was a tower of strength at the back and fitted in well given it was his first game and added bite to the defence plus extra cover in the air and was my other contender for M.O.M.

A super cross from Haffy right in front of the choir gave Jay the chance of a soft delicate header which was placed to perfection into the corner of the net and this not long after Leatherhead had hit the crossbar.

The second goal was disallowed for offside judging by the lino's flag, but the free kick was taken a yard or two in from the corner flag right by the goal line and had to be played backwards into the box where I think Lew Watts headed in from the 6 yards line.
(In my days I didn't think you could be offside if the ball was played back and the taker of the free kick was on the line and couldn't possibly have been in a position to interfere with play?

Second half although at times being desperate to watch, it did give the players a chance to show that they had the right attitude for the game and were determined not to give a goal away and were still looking for a second goal to make certain of victory and their keeper brought of a super save from Nicky Barnes when close in on goal.

Well done and roll on Saturday, lets keep up the good work and win our next local derby game to keep the pressure on the others to win their games in hand.
