Well Dover have had some well publicised incidents so its erring on the safe side, just looking forward to the game, our midfield looks stronger all the time.

Can you tell us what they were please?
I wonder if Dover will segregate our fans, in the return at their ground ?

Lets hope so and you will not be among us.

Oh and as you asked,

1) The moron who lost his mobile at the Crabble in the trophy, jumped into the Darts end goalmouth goading away.

2) the bin thrown at the ref.

3) All the accusations that we are thugs.

4) You are a Dover fan, no question.

i agree its a pity that it is segregation as most of us like a bit of good natured banter and i feel sure that 99% of the dover fans fall into the decent category

most teams have a couple of stupid fans [ including us] and it is so easy for the rest to get tarnished

however the decent dover fans are welcome and lets hope its a cracking match

i for one am really looking forward to it

I've just had a quick look on Dovers forum and strangely quite a few have predicted a Darts win next week. Their predictions are as follows:

Dartford 2 Dover 1
Dartford 1 Dover 2
Dartford 0 Dover 2
dartford 1 dover 2
Dartford 3-0 Dover   I especially like this one. :-D
dartford 2-1 dover
Darthugs 1 Dover 1
Dartford 2 Dover 0
Dartford1 Dover1
Darts 1-0 Dover

I agree with Skip that comments made by certain individuals may have been a factor in any decision to segregate the fans. It is a real shame because this is not what non-league football is about.

If you look around at away games - the stalwarts, how many around do you think would be involved in any 'trouble'? And even if one person did have a rush of blood the others would intervene. The unpredictable element is at home at the moment where we don't know the attitude of the new fans but my impression so far is they are all good spirited, friendly individuals. I really can't see who exactly would be involved in any trouble.

However, we do have to remember that we simply can not afford any unsavoury incidents at our 'community' facility. The message has to go out that PP is a safe, fun and friendly environment to spend time with the family. It's unfortunate but I reluctantly agree with the decision if indeed it has been made.

I am just looking forward to a great game with a derby atmosphere (even though it technically isn't one) in our fantastic stadium - it really hasn't sunk in yet.

The decision to segregate the fans on reflection is common sense ( I do not like it though!), bearing in mind the size of the away support and Dover forever branding us all 'Darthugs' !

Dover displayed their true colours last season at the trophy tie when they refused post match hospitality for no other reason than the dummy being spat out!

Darts fans should unite and produce an amazing atmosphere, TB has raised the bar with his signings and so should we, we are all in this together, UNITE DARTS UNITE!

I must admit to feeling a tad disappointed as to the need for segregation. After all, Dover aren't going to be bringing as many fans as they would believe us to think, so I don't think numbers are going to be a problem. And it goes a bit against the non league grain at our level to feel the need for segregation. They are certainly not going to bring a 1000 fans when they can't get that many to see their own home games, in which case there may have been a need for segregation purely on the basis of crowd control.

More so, I would also be disappointed if Dover supporters, and there will be the majority who are fairminded, were not be allowed to in the bar to sample our hospitality. Surely it is part and parcel of our non league scene to be able to have a drink after the game. I know I would be disappointed  not to have had the opportunity to have had a drink in the bar at Barton last season. It is a chance to chat with opposition supporters and have some good natured banter as well, and on this occasion the opportunity for Dover fans to sample our new surroundings as much as any other opposing side.

Anyway, has it been officiallly announced yet about
a) crowd segregation and
b) bar restriction

Well if Maidstone's game is off (and if the weather predictions are right weve got two hopes) i think ill be off to this one. 2 good sides, ace ground and some good 'banter' between opposition fans, should be good.

Its a massive game, possibly the highest gate (apart from YMCA) in the league this season, even fans from other clubs are talking it up, fans of DFC spread the word, bring a mate, lets make this one that special Darts atmosphere, its time to rumble!

Who are yer!!
