on the ryman web a whiteleafe posyter said that we were one of the best 4 teams in the league,  so we really need to show thats the case and get this " PP hoodoo " put to bed and get on a winning run [ draws no good]

still cannot get my head around best team format as with OB going it seems likely that eddie mac will come in but with ryan and davie in [ which i like] leaves us skimp in midfield

still, i'm batchelor status this week end as i.m taking [ and leaving ] the duchess at her mums in yorkshire so maidstone spice and nells cafe he i come !!!!!!!

UP THE DARTS [ and farewell to turkey !!!! ]

You're right duke, if we are gonna play two winger then for me Ryan and Dave are them. We can either paly the attack game and hope to out score them, in which case Eddie plays or play more balanced and leave Eddie on the bench along with Haffy.
Tough Call, but I've always said we need two defensive midfielders who tackle and harass the other side and aren't afraid of 50/50 balls

If Eddie is fit enough then i would put him straight into the team, im not sure if O'Brian is still with us for this game or not. If he is then it's a tough call as to whether you play him or Lew Watts in the holding role just behind Eddie and infront of the defence.

I think i would possibly give Brad Potter a run out at rightback as well, nothing against Ozzy but he has been getting caught out a bit to often lately. I would have Ozzy on the bench just in case. I really hope that Kevin is fit enough to play again and if he is then i think my starting line up would possibley be as follows:

                       Hudson

Potter   Avery    Guest     Norman

                       Watts

Hayes          McClements        Martin

                     May        Cass

Subs: Haffner - Osbourne - O'Brian (if here) or Tedder - Hogg - Briggs

If fit then Eddie must play as he's a class above some of the other players even if it means we sacrifice some of the aggression and ball winning from O'Brien or Watts as his distribution is better and he runs at the defence and gets the balls wide to Ryan and Davey.

If we are going to concede at the back lets make sure we score more goals than the opposition.

That's the prob Trevor, we can't seem to win the ball or dominate in midfield yet you want 5 attackers. At least we seem to be scoring goals, but I feel we need a more defensive midfield than if we have Eddie. Personally for me it's Eddie or Jay. As for leaving

Tommy out don't be silly.

the last " gung ho " team that nearly won something was newcastle under kevin keegan , great team to watch, exciting games but won f... all !!!!

so what do you want,  if we play ryno, davie , eddie mac + cass and may  its " gung ho " but don't expect promotion !!!!!!!

dover are a bunch of boring b.....s but with just one 25 goals a season striker they would skate this league as they concede very few goals

Dover have a 25 goal a season striker in Drydon, but 25 goals a season strikers don't score 25 goals a season in negative defensive teams.

I'd suggest their problem lies elsewhere.

A work colleague of mine mentioned that their loyal away fans also started a fight after the final whistle at the Hastings game.

i was  a big fan of jimmy dryden in his invicta days but unfortunately[ for dover and him only] since he got that really bad ski injury he has NOT been anywhere near the player he was and has missed a hat ful of goals this season which he would have normally put away

if he ever gets 100% fit again then watch out [ hopefully we will  get promoted and he might just fancy playing for a real quality side in the premier ]

i reckin that if cassie and jay may were with dover + their defence they would have been out of sight by now

no chance however as one would need to be f......g stupid to want to play for uncle clive  !!!!!!!

Was he the player who missed an open goal against us in a midweek cup game a couple of years ago?

Coney, it's a game of opinions and this is my opinion. Ozzy hasn't been that great of late and maybe it may do him a bit of good to have a short rest. Give Brad his chance and im sure he won't let us or the team down.

Nothing against Ozzy because we've had a few defensive problems of late, even John Guest has had the odd iffy game but Ozzy does seem to be getting caught out quite a few times of late. Just because he's captain doesn't mean that he can't be dropped / rested.

If it doesn't work with Brad then you can soon bring Ozzy back in again.

As i say it's just my opinion.

As you know i like tommy, has a habit of making bloody good tackles just at the right time, but he also makes mistakes, just like the rest of the team. I'll give you the point on trying brad as I don't believe it is so much a wrong player problem, more maybe we are either not gelling or players aren't complimenting each other. The team is a bit like a jigsaw at the mo, the peices just need a shuffle around to fit better

Ozzy has been one of our most consistant players over the last 2 seasons and was always one of the few automatic choices, so it is a  big mystery  to me as to why he seems to drift into the middle and give the oppo's winger oceans of room ,some will no doubt disagree, but he may need a rest,I don't say get rid and he is not the sole reason for for our defensive problems, but I know Tommy can do better

Ah the bickering!

Ozzy is ok, my honest opinion is that his distribution is average as is his pace.

Very likeable though and a player that I will remember for always giving 100%.
