No wonder Peter Taylor decided to move quickly to get Davie's signature to paper when he realised other clubs appeared to be becoming interested.

Still, Palace seem to have had a good look at Davie prior to signing, so if he makes it to the subs bench in the first available match to him, then it shows how highly PT rates Dave. Even if he doesn't get a game on the night, the experience of being a part of the Roker Roar will be invaluable experience. Enjot it Dave!!

Just had a text from TB - Dave hasn't made the squad for tonight, and hasn't travelled, although he did spend an hour on Saturday signing autographs in their club shop.

I'm also changing this thread to a designated Dave Martin-watch thread to follow him.

My palace supporting boss assured me he was featured in the program on saturday. Hopefully he will bring it in and if it's any good I'll post the write up here.

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Reports are stating today that he could make his Palace debut tomorrow, when we are home to Ipswich. On the subs bench I would think.

You never know with 2 of your wingers both out injured and another one who left the club on Wednesday to go back to Germany he might and just might get his 1st 11 call up.

Good luck to Davie if & when he gets his chance.

What odds do you think you would get if you went to the bookies and put a bet on davie coming off the bench and scoring. Now that would be priceless. /smug

I am assuming that the announcer at PP will let us know if Davy comes on (or even starts  :-o ) for the Palace this afternoon.

Superb, now have you his goal away at Croydon?

Quite worrying though is the comment heard on the clip, think its something like "without him we are nothing!"

I think the exact words are:" Without you, mate, we've got nothing, have we". I hope the speaker was speaking only in terms of that match (against Ilford last season, no?) and not in general! :?
