CRAY HOME THREAD 03 FEB 07
« on: January 31, 2007, 02:25:39 AM »

Looking forward to Saturday, we need the 3 pts as its a home game also very tight at the top of the league. A big hi to our new keeper, all the best yo you Kess.

Lets go all out to gain revenge for that 4-0 thrashing earlier in the season.

I'm looking forward to another 1000+ crowd on saturday. This match MUST reverse the trend of the last 2 matches. We cannot afford to give the Cray a 2 goal start! At least with Kess debuting :? between the sticks we have a replacement for big Kev (who will be sorely missed  ) Let's give Kess a PP welcome and not have him picking the ball out of the back of his net this weekend xpeter

So you're not maturing with age then Banksy !!

Personally, I'm not in favour of postings that are disrespectful to other teams who don't deserve it, and to be honest Cray Wanderers are one of those teams who do deserve to be treated with respect in the way they have moved up from Kent League and holding their own. There's also a matter of that 4-0 defeat at their ground. So I don't think the word c*rap is a word I would use or they deserve Banksy!

Especially as without their help we might not be where we are today.

Come on now, let's be nice. We do not want to start playing the game that the other team in black and white  play do we? All we really need on saturday is a clean sheet and 3 pts (the results going for us again would be nice too).

If we could limit the opposition to just scoring one goal for a change, we might give ourselves a chance.

Cray slaughtered us in the away game so it's going to be tough.

I hope we still have some forwards left by Saturday ... I notice nobody is after our defenders.

With only 4 teams in the league conceding more goals than us can you blame them? Balance that with The Darts being the highest scoring team in the league and having 3 out of the top ten scorers, it shows who the others are looking at doesn't it?

If I remember rightly, didn't Jay start as sub last time out, and Lew was sent off? As bad as we were, I think 4-0 was flattering to Cray though.

James C is back, right(?) and we've a slightly different defence with the departure of Henry, so it'll be an interesting match.

I think we'll beat them.

I think, possibly, on the day, it was flattering to Dartford.

I agree with Ronaldo , on the day Cray were far better, in all honesty once they scored, their confidence  grew and we were put to the sword, they are beatable but must be respected, we have no divine right to win and the way we ship goals these days doesn't  exactly give me to much confidence, however I still believe big time and I will go for the Darts to just shade it.

According to todays Dartford Messenger Tony Kessel may not be the only new player in our squad for Saturdays match against Cray.

It says Kessel may not be the only new face at Princes Park on Saturday, with Burman looking for cover in attack as Jay May begins a 3 match ban for being sent off against Ashford.

Burman said "I need to strengthen the squad and im trying to do that. I need someone up front for the next few weeks."

The sale of Dave Martin to Crystal Palace has bolstered Burmans transfer budget but the manager won't be forced into paying silly money.
He said "Just because we've got a bit money players can't just come here and double their wages. Some people have wanted lots of money but they'll only get what they're worth".
