CONGRATULATION BLUES

I don't mind seeing all these blues postings, after all as an armchair Spurs supporter we gloated in the early 60's about our success and have waited a long time for an opportunity to shout about a league or cup win again.

Maybe this season in Europe who knows at least we are not in a relegation battle, Martin you have my sympathy and it extends to all West Ham Supporters along with those of Charlton & Watford, we've got to give as much support to the southern clubs as possible.

Unless of course you are a supporter of those northern ******** :-P

yep congrats to chelski on spending 150Million to win the two bob cup :-D :-D :-D

Yes wenger does make a rod for his own back but at least he doesn't think he can walk on water, and I am proud of the fact that he let the kids who got to the final, (annihalating some big teams) play the final and not replace them with the first team.
Personnally the big difference was the goalkeeping and cech won the game for you, he thoroughly deserves to be holding a winners medal for that performance.

Oh trev can't wait for spurs to win something in colour :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?

Well judging by the actions of the gooner players 4 mins from the end they certainly didn't think it was a two bob cup !!! What the betting eboue gets a belated red card?

Can I just put a simple question to those who are jealous of Chelsea`s resources,if a multimillionaire approached your club would this change your attitude towards your team. I`m sure if Dartford were approached no Darts supporters would be complaining. As for the final it goes to show how much talent we have in England when Arsenal field a team with only one englishman in there side and having only one other in Justin Hoyte. Say`s a lot  about the infrastructure of our game thats also why were not good enough international wise. :-(

Personnally most millionares seem to leave the clubs they bought in tatters, palace and leeds spring to mind.
I would not want roman to take over dartford, though I would admire his principle if he got a non-league team to premier status, more worthwhile?

As for the english debate, why does everybody feel it is only arsenal that have a foriegn team, cause chelsea field 11 english players ,don't they. You know great english internationals like Drogba ,Shevchenko, Robben Cech, essien, Mikel, Carvalho etc. If you look at the squad lists chelsea have the grand total of 7 english players and arsenal 3, liverpool have 10 and spurs could field 11 if they played 2 keepers.
There isn't many clubs in the premiership that are far behind doing what arsenal do, especially those struggling to survive.

I don't like the fact that arsenal have too many foriegn imports, especially from france but despite what you think Arsenal DO NOT have the financial backing to be able to afford the type of english player to win things. Wenger has made some of the best finds in modern football, and has proved to several average palyers into world class players, who then proceeded to return to average when they left.

When people like wright-phillips and lampard are being rated at 20-25 Million who can blame him for buying fabregas for just over a Million instead.
Walcott was vastly over-priced but somehow wenger bought him, and lets be fair he has a long way to go before he ever (if) reaches the standard that Fabregas or Henry have acheived, without costing anywhere near.
You have to remember that to most teams it is either survival or a business, but only with clubs like real Madrid, Chelsea, and Barca it's a hobby.
Before yo say Arsenal have that kind of spending power just work out how much we really spend on players each year, our biggest spree (32m) was a few years back (2000) and that was financed by the sale of overmars and petit (30m)

It's not the team that's at fault but the pricing of these players, and their wage demands ( anyone really think Ashley Cole is worth more than 65K a week).

Before you start moaning about the lack of english players in the premiership remember one thing,  Most of the great English sides were full of scots and irish, Especially the early european winners , and most of the greatest top teams ( especially arsenal) and I never heard of anyone moaning about the amount of non-english players then

You read my mind Coney I was only thinking the same about Spurs in the 60's when they won the Cup Winners Cup plus two F.A. cups and the league.

Blanchflower, Mackay, White, Jones, Brown, and later Gilzean, Kinnear, Jennings, England etc all from Scotland Wales and Ireland

McNab & Storey were both English and played for England

You're absolutely right.  McNab was a fine player and a natural leader who would have captained the team if McLintock hadn't been there.  Bob Wilson had the greatest respect for him.

Sorry Barry B I misread your original post slightly, I thought you were saying that McNab & Storey were Scottish.
