Had a text from Tony earlier - Lew Watts suffered a knock which was why he was subbed.

You could see as Lew was walking off that he was limping a bit and didn't seem right as he'd been caught a couple of times before hand. Hopefully he's ok.

Good game on Saturday. Only fault was we missed too many chances and we were always going to end up paying for it.

Agree on the ref as well, best non-league ref I've seen for a couple seasons. A poor ref could have ruined the game.

Scannell was outstanding for Dulwich, he would make a good addition to the Darts. (He can't be happy having to play football in a shirt like that)

Scannell is currently on loan to Dulwich from Fisher, who I presume are still trying to hack their wage bill a bit, especially now they are out of the promotion picture.

I agree that he looked a real quality player and would love to see him in a Dartford shirt (Pro Star even  ) next season. I'm sure TB couldn't have failed to be impressed by him too.

I think Scannell is probably the best player who has ever played at Princes Park. Absolutely different class.

Be sure to read the eccentric match report on the Dulwich site for a bit of a chuckle. This is just a little example:

Dulwich dominated play but could not find the Philosopher's Stone that might turn the base metal of their domination into the gold of goals.

Um just what i thought.!!

Definitely not the sort of post you would find on this site :-D I think we tend to call a 'spade a spade' and not 'an earth moving device' :-P however much we would like to wax lyrical about the games  :|

First chance of logging onto the web since the match only to see I've missed out on voting for Ozzie as my MOTM.  Infact, it shows how much the defence has improved in recent matches and we are now starting to see a real consistency of performance.  Dulwich are very dangerous opposition and but for the mistake - and yes, it was a good strike - we would have closed the game out and picked up the 3 pts.  Eddie was his usual imperious self - I find it hard to believe he actually signed for the Darts under the Tommy Sampson reign.  Greenie looked shot to pieces in the last 10 and probably could have done with being replaced to injectr some energy even though we didn't have another left footer on the bench.

The 2 dropped points will probably mean we have to pick up 13 from the last 15 to get a play-off place which is likely to incude a draw at Hastings and a win at Met Plod on the last day.  Not easy, but it's going to be fun trying.

I have to agree with Spike on Scannell he did it for 90 minutes and not in short bursts as Davy used to do and when Scannell was up front in the first half he was able to turn all of our defenders both ways and make space whichever one was supposed to be marking him and in the second half he tended to drop back to midfield and go into Eddie type runs towards our goal.

And all that with our defense having a good game, if he performs like that in most games then he must be challenging Davy for the title of best player seen at P.P.

i . along with many others rated scannell but its on one game and presumably he cannot turn on this kind of performance week in , week out or he would have been a fixture in the fisher side asnd probably playing league football

reckon theres a good chance hes inconsistant

If we see a damn good player then i'm sure TB does, i rated the Hastings no 5 earlier in the season and was very impressed with Scannel!

Have to agree with you guys about Scannel, mind you Phil Williams wasn’t too bad either. I’m sure TB has some kind of list with players he would like to bring in, providing they fit in with our wage structure.

If we see a damn good player then i'm sure TB does, i rated the Hastings no 5 earlier in the season and was very impressed with Scannel!

Gregg the player you are referring to is Sean Ray who is the best central defender in the league. We did put a seven dayer in for him but he decided to stay with Hastings. He has got sent off in back to back games recently so hopefully he will not be available when we have to play them.

With the other teams around us bringing in a little extra quality to their squads I’m beginning to get a gut feeling that we will miss the promotion boat this season. Although I can see us getting into the play-offs albeit a hard away leg first away to our friends down on the coast…still hope not.

Let’s take it a game at a time and see what happens.

Damien Scannell has been on trial with Millwall this season, so he's obviously attracting plenty of attention.

Sean Ray is now serving a five match suspension and will miss our match at Hastings on 14th April.

Both top quality players who would be great in our squad, I agree!
