Far too close to Molsey for me to drive. Looks like we're getting the train.

Win is a must and I know we can create a good atmosphere here. Away at AFC Deserters was one of our best away performances (crowd wise) last season.

Hopefully we'll get some good support with us for this game and we can raise the roof as we have done with a few of our other big away games this season.

AFC Deserters??? - IMO - I think you have this the wrong way round Martin. Surely it is Milton Keynes Dons who are a sad and sorry scab on the face of football (for which the FA should be ashamed of themselves) whereas the AFC fans are to be applauded for saving football in their community. If our beloved Darts relocated to, for example, Corby and became known as the Corby Darts how would we feel? MK Dons are the only football team in the world whom I would be delighted to see go out of existence. If that bunch of Norwegian clowns wanted to start a team in Milton Keynes then why not take over the local team instead? Effectively, what they really did was to start a brand new club and by using Wimbledon's name, conned their way into the football league instead of working their way up. To even think that this pathetic excuse for a football club is anything at all to do with the old Wimbledon is, in my view, totally misguided. I cheered heartily when they went down last year and I hope they miss out on promotion this season. I  look forward to the day when the hard-working fans at AFC Wimbledon get their just desserts and overtake that miserable little stain on the carpet of football, aka MK Dons.

Shouldn't that be....

Considering that it's only 5 miles from Wimbledon to Kingstonian's ground, as opposed to 60+ to Milton Keynes, I think that's splitting hairs a bit TLD!

In the same way that when the Darts were playing at Cray, E&B, Purfleet, G&N etc, the club was still providing football for the Dartford community albeit not physically playing within the boundary of the community.

You won't, of course, be suprised to hear that I agree with Spike on this one. I had the horrible feeling that the MK Dons fiasco might herald the arrival of the American "Football" franchise type moves where clubs would be shipped around the country at the owners' whim. Fortunately though, it's not happened again, yet.

Well I'm glad Jeremy didn't think that it's only 5 miles and buy us Wellings ground instead of building us a stadium in our community!

The way I see it you follow your club through thick and thin wherever they may roam and whatever happens to them. I don't know the details so maybe the uninformed should keep quiet but my simple outlook above is fundamental to my view on the whole matter.

Their tenants are our focus and a win will come our way. They have a poor home record and nothing to play for. We have enthusistic support and a whole lot to play for.

Never mind the forwards scoring loads in the first half of the season and the defence conceding few in the second half of the season, for these last few games we have to do both together and not only get the wins but score plenty of goals.

Just look at the table and the teams around us, most have now got as good as or better goal differences than us bar Hastings and Fleet and with the points so close and some predictions of the end of season table having several teams on the same number of points this factor could be crucial.

So lets win these games and win them well starting with Kingstonian and Chatham over the Easter and set our stall out for others to chase.

COME ON YOU DARTS

Given the way we have been playing and the chances we have been creating, the dam has got to burst soon. Hopefully this weekend :-D :-D
All we really need is for Cassie to bang a couple in early on sat afternoon then everybody else in the team should get the idea :|
The defence has definitely been playing a lot better as of late, with a fully :? fit squad. I think this weekend could really make the difference. We will of course be there for both games, looking forward to sampling Kingstonions hospitality  :-D before the game on saturday.

I think the argument here is whether you think MK Dons are the same club. I don't really believe they are. What actually constitutes a football club? ...It isn't the players because they move on (every week when Tommy Sampson's at the helm). For my money, the club is all about the community in which it is based, i.e. the generations of supporters and the town. As mothers and fathers introduce their sons and daughters so the lifeblood of the club lives on. AFC Wimbledon are playing as near to home as they can get and are doing their bit to preserve their club. IMO the spirit of the old Wimbledon FC lives on with those true fans who have resurrected their club n the guise of AFC. If the franchise idea was to succeed it could spell the end of football as we know it in the UK. As Dave T said, we could end up with the USA type sitation where top clubs are moved around all over the country (if not the world) according to the highest bidder.

If we ever become Siberia Darts FC then you're on your own.

Maidstone were held to a 2-2 draw away at Whytleafe this afternoon. Good crowd of 561, but are the Stones running out of steam?  (It means T&M gained 5 points on them this week, winning as they did on Tuesday and Thursday nights.) Or was it just because they were up against the league's draw specialists? That makes the Leafe joint top of the draws, along the Met Police, on 14. With Dover only 1 pt behind us with a game in hand, we really must win all six points this weekend. Come on you Darts!!!
