Just spoken to Kebabus, its getting a bit tense down there. Support sounds terrific, 360+ fans at game and it seems as if if most of it is from Kent. Just had a corner which flew across front of the goal... COYD !!!

That'll be the last chance saloon I reckon. Certainly 2 points lost today rather than 1 won. Not looking good.
I will be awaiting anxiously for the report. Sounds as though it might have been a question of missed chances.

If we really have aspirations of going up via the play-offs can't help thinking we should be turning over teams like we played today--rest of the play-off contenders seem to be hitting form at the right time and with a difficult trip to Hastings still to come I'm looking at the league table and starting to get very worried  !!  Anyone else ?????

A disappointing performance after a good start and a well taken goal.  We seemed to lack much creative approach play which meant too few chances to capitalise and there were long periods where not much happened.

Despite the Darts being the better team, Kingstonian had a few chances of their own, but these were few and far between.  Their goal was a speculative effort that floated over Kessie - completely out of the blue.

The choir made plenty of noise and did us proud and outsung the locals.  Attendance 388, many in black and white.

Definately two points dropped!

A bit of a saving grace is that Monday sees Dover play Hastings and Tooting play Dulwich. That is a saving grace if we can take all 3 points from Chatham who are in a relegation battle !!

We were shocking against an equally awful Fleet team; so I wouldnt be concerned that either us or Fleet can pull ourselves together to get a play off place.

Have to agree with Johnj2 we were poor today and just didn't really create many chances to make anything of, our wing play was absolutely terrible i know the pitch was atroshous and at times the lads had a very tough job to run with the ball but Ryno just wasn't in it at all and hardly looked interested in taking the oppo's fullback on and Greeny was just as bad on the other side.

Our crosses were terrible as well, why oh why do we have to keep punting the bloody ball in the air the whole time, the only players that tried to bring the ball down and keep it on the deck were Jay May and Eddie McClements who both had exceptional games and worked their socks off again. A great goal scored by Eddie after Jay pulled the ball down on his chest and layed it off for Ed to toe end past the defender and curl into the bottom corner.

After this we didn't really create much else and ended up falling into the Kingstonian style of play which was to just hoof the way up in the air and up field.

The ref and his 2 assistants were absolutely disgraceful today how on earth can you headbutt an opponent directly infront of the ref and only be given a yellow card for it and have 1 of our players booked for supposedly mouthing off at the ref at the same time, also Jay won a header in the air their player goes straight to ground and Jay gets a yellow. Kingstonians players were constantly looking to get Jay booked and sent off for the whole game and at every oppertunity seemed to go to ground.

Brendan clearly wins the ball with his head in the box and gets shoved to the ground after a push in the back and the ref gives a goalkick and then a few minutes later Jay swings a boot and completely misses the ball and a Kings defender heads the ball out for a clear cut corner & both the ref and lino give a goalkick.

Im going to give my MOTM vote to Eddie for his hardwork & goal.

As for the play offs i really do think that we can say goodbye to them for this season as both Dover & Fleet still have 1 game in hand over us and are only 2pts behind and certainly on todays performance i can't see us getting much from the Hastings game unless we get very very lucky indeed.
The other teams have upped their games and seem to be picking up the points when most needed yet we are letting them slip away.

Ah the reality of our situation/season is finally hitting home, i think its fair to say there has been a degree of under achievment on the pitch at vital times, its down to inconsistency, although i accept that the players have an excellent spirit, and some top blokes. Its a shame that we are not already assured of at least the play offs at this stage but granted there are points to play for and so we must all hope that we can find at least 3 wins, its possible so all the time it is possible I will stay as positive as possible!

Good support for the lads today again, thought the pitch was awful in places and as for that clown in the black, well i'll leave there, tosser..............................................
