It's ten past one in the morning, Duke, so I'm going to bed now, even if you're not. Night-night.

Attack good defence poor, sounds like any of the games we have lost or drawn this season and but for Cassie having a spot of bad luck or too much time to finish when un-marked, as his header flashed over the bar and another hit the outside of the post, we could have ended up 5-4 and another exciting win.

It was not to be, but at least Cassie added two goals to his total and this together with his non-stop running easily made him my M.O.M.

How on earth he didn't win one of the fans 3 awards I will never know, but such is life and on that point football becomes insignificant when you think of the plight of Jack Brown the little lad for whom life is such a struggle.

Pleased to hand over Mrs B's cheque for £622 from her raffle before today's game along with The 5th handing over the clubs cheque from the Raffle/Golden Goals/Under 16's collections.

Roll on next season and the chance to meet the usual band of travelling supporters plus we hope a few more new fans from the home crowds to boost the choir, you can't beat travelling away, the camaraderie generated from having as many away Darts fans at games as if not more, together with the older grounds atmosphere, the smell of the burgers cooking and of course a few beers. MAGIC

As for Princes Park, it will become the fortress we all desire, hopefully next season and lets hope the attendances are maintained and we can get the promotion we all want and then we can show a whole new set of teams the best non league stadium in the land the season after.

An enjoyable day if not a good result but it was yet again another one of those days situations when whatever we did the opposition managed to go 1 better.

We has nothing to play for except a bit of pride and i honestly think that although we lost the game the lads still came out of it with some.

I also am very very surprised that Brendan didn't pick up at least 1 of the supporters awards this season but thats only my view and obviously a lot of the other fans thought Jay had done a bit more over the season to pick up both home & away trophies. WELL DONE JAY.

And congratulations to Eddie McClements on winning the Babs Leach Memorial Shield voted for by us fans from the MOTM votes on this site.

Also well done to Brendan Cass on scoring 31 goals this season (the most he has scored for any club) and im certain has won the Ryman Div 1 Sth Golden Boot Award.

My MOTM vote went to Brendan Cass.

As Trevor B has already mentioned in his post, we were both very pleased to hand over the 2 cheques for the Jack Brown Appeal to the Met Police Chairman for a total sum of £1137. Thanks to Dave (eagle88) for taking a couple of photo's of the presentation which will hopefully appear on this site at some point.

It may take me a day or 2 to get the pics to Gary as I am on Night shift tonite and won't have chance to sort thru them until tomorrow. But rest assured all the pics I took of the presentations both before and after the game will be sent to Gary for publication as and where he sees fit xbow xbow Attendance yesterday a lowly 239.  xdover managed 1009. The Mets second highest crowd of the season - Stones took 395  :-( Still our average crowd overall was 143 more than  xdover !!!!!!! If you just count home matches its 352 more.

Gary,
May I apologise for not getting to see you after the game, my Chairman grabbed me and that was that!
I know it has been said many times but may I thank all of the Dartford FC supporters for the effort and contribution to the Jack Brown appeal. I can honestly say chatting to many connected with Dartford was a pleasure.

Due to this, I hope our football club can build on these very good relations with Dartford FC. From your management, players and supporters, to host or visit Dartford FC has been a very nice experience. I hope your visit to Imber Court was pleasant?

As Supporters you are a credit to Dartford FC and I really look forward to visiting you all next season. Fingers crossed, we will have our own mascot in the shape of Jack Brown with us.

Our supporters have also been brilliant, we just need a few more of them!

Please send out my thanks to all concerned.

Good luck

Another nice touch from Gavin at Met Police.

I can’t believe the amount of free headers Met Police had on Saturday and more alarmingly Tony Kessels willingness to come off his line to claim some of these crosses or even punch them away. I’m probably in a minority here but I prefer a taller keeper who fills the goal and commands his area rather than a shot stopper who’s reluctant to come off his line. You could argue that TK has better distribution and is quicker off his line…when he comes off it that is, but Kevin was very dominant on crosses into the box and prevented chances from opening up.

So who do you think is the better goalkeeper?

Personally i'd go for  xkev purely for the same reasons as you John, he commanded his box a lot better and his handling in the air was second to none. Just may be the Kevin of a year or so ago though and not the one that left us this season.
