Just a reminder to those who expressed an interest that the pool match against the Crayford Arms is at 8pm on Wednesday 4th July at Princes Park.

We should be OK for the game now as Chairman Dave has replaced the missing white ball and the cues!

I'll be heading up to the club tonight for this - actually fancy playing now, rather than being a reserve!

Just returned from the first Dartford FC pool event. Although the result was not what we would have liked - we lost 8-1 - everyone had a good time. Many thanks to all those that turned up:

Players: Gary, Paul, Maurice, Steve, James, Ken and myself.
Supporters: Cathie, Roz, Dave

A special thanks should go to Paul who gained our only point!  xbow

There is always the return match next week so if anyone wants to come along (as some of those there tonight are unavailable) please do as I'm sure we can find a place in the team.

Thanks for the mention Ron, however thanks should be yours for organising a great night out. Also thanks to John for bringing a team from the Crayford Arms...............not sure how much that cost him to assemble to take on the DFC, but knowing John it probably amounted to a couple of pints and a bag of Cheese and onion.

Looking forward to next week for the return leg..........hopefully we can turn it round...............keep the faith.

This is as good a place as any to announce my retirement from competitive pool; after much soul-seeking, I've decided to give back to the sport by packing in :)

Should be able to make this weeks game so if there's a slot in the team I'm about.  Unless of course there are good players about in which case a drink in Johns pub and maybe a scratchcard will suffice!

Well done Paul on the first DFC win, hope there are many more to come!

Gary. You can give me a game of pool if the table is free, and as I don't know the rules, there is every chance you should beat me and get yourself on a winning streak.!

The return leg was a much closer affair than last week - it went to the last game with the Crayford Arms sneaking a win in the last pairs to make the score 5-3 and avoiding a decider.

Once again thanks to all those who turned up and played their part (Ken, Matt B, Paul and Maurice, ably supported by Cathie and Roz).

Depending on the RLN fixtures and availability of players I will see about possibly arranging some further fixtures against other locals.
