2007/2008 Season Betting Thread
« on: July 14, 2007, 10:43:13 AM »

its realy easy to throw away cash by betting.if you definately like losing how about betting on leeds (the favourites) to win div 1 ( 6/1 )

my long term tip for the season is in the handicap betting.last season i flopped with fulham but the two previous seasons i won about £150 on west ham and the season before ,derby

this season in the championship i will go on blackpool as long as they dont sell their striker (cant remember his name at the moment) they were very impressive in the play off final.pete sampson you might know who he is.

i think they will have a handicap of around +45 so as long as they get 50 points (which is more or less not getting relegated) the bet should come in.will do it each way and most bookies do their handicap betwwen 15/1 to 18/1

Blackpool had two strikers knocking in the goals last season, Andy Morrell and Kergen Parker, who scored in the play offs against Yeovil in the first leg I think.

Whether Blackpool can adjust to Championship standards on their limited resources and support base, I'm not so sure, although Colchester sprung a few surprises last season.

NOt sure about Leeds though! It's still in doubt as to whether they will start the season yet as the Football League have not yet given them back their share to allow them to compete next year until the administrators can produce some satisfactory paperwork after the Inland Revenue weren't happy with Ken Bates first two offers.

Watch this space, although I'm sure permission will eventually be given. If not, Tranmere's first match of the season will be up the swannee andno game!

# Celtic @ 4/5
# Oxford Utd @ 5/1
# MK Dons @ 7/1
# Charlton @ 6/1
# Nottm Forest @ 11/4
# Man Utd @ 11/8

Should win me about 5000 for my £1 bet. :)

Try this for a bet 25pe/w lucky15 with Bet Fred.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       1 Healy-Fulham 11/2                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              2Chopra-Sunderland 13/2                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       3 Barry-Villa 14/1                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   4 Johnson-Everton 6/1                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          You get half the odds and 3 places (1st 3 goals) pays about £2320 for £7.50 bet.

Those that know me know I don't like to gamble.

However, here's a tip - Martin Jol to be the first Premier League manager to lose his job. Reliable source but believe this has already leaked to an extent and you'll get short odds. I think Corals aren't taking bets on it anymore according to talkSPORT radio.

Good Luck.

I'm not a gambler so I'll bet on a Dartford win tomorrow.  £10 returns £24.
