Just wanted to say thanks for bringing a good turnout Tuesday, certainly helps the clubs coffers. I have read with interest your comments and though i cannot defend how wivenhoes players conducted themselves and without looking for excuses we do have a very young team that has come from Sunday league football - so the sort of players that are used to kicking people up in the air rather than playing.
That said i was expecting you to have reached double figures, as we really dont have the greatest of sides (not even average as one darts fan labled us) so darts fans i wouldnt get too confident as a result of tuesdays game, you should have been looking for far more than 3 but i'm sure our tactics didnt help and you still got the victory and well deserved in the end.
Just a note to Darts Fan who came on our website, your first post was looking forward to coming over and winding up our players, so if you want to give it out, then accept it when a player gives it back, dont get all wound up and call people pr1k5!.
As for teh rest of you darts fans, your a credit to your team, and always welcome at broad lane if ever you fancy a long date out!  We could certainly do with your support!!
xtip  Respect for the dartsfan with the big hat too!

Just back from two days at head office and what a night on Tuesday, well done to all the players, they kept their heads had little verbal with the ref and above all didn't retaliate after all those terrible tackles.

Full marks to Dragonfire for his very honest comments about his team and perhaps we can now understand the Wivenhoe players attitudes a bit better, at least those of us who have played Sunday football can and at least we got the right result, just hoping all of our players can run off the knocks ready for Saturday.

Three good goals, the first a powerful downward header and behind the goal at least four different names were put forward as the scorer it happened so quickly, Jay's goal a brilliant first time shot from the edge of the box volleying in from a knoked down header into his path and Steve Norman with a very powerful free kick which hit the no.2 in the face as it travelled goalwards and the last we saw the no. 2 automatically caught the ball in his arms alah rugby mode and fell forward finishing in the back of the goal for a well deserved try.(Oops should be just deserts)

A good travelling crowd and like Martin I really do enjoy the away matches better than P.P. for atmosphere, comradery and vocal support, probably P.P. is all a bit clinical still and with so much room you tend to spread out more.(Not any form of criticism of P.P. intended)

My first chance to see the two loan signing as I was on holiday Saturday and both looked very very good and definitely gave us a lot more width and allowed us to play the ball out of defence rather than lumping those high balls, which was the tactic in most of the friendlies I saw before they were signed up.

Roll on Saturday.
