Ilford (A) - Wed 26th Sept Thread
« on: September 24, 2007, 04:00:00 PM »

Looking forward to another great game and hopefully 3 more points. I hope we keep an unchanged side from Saturday, (although personally I would rather Eddie played inside with Kadi on the right). Kadi had a quiet game on Saturday and Jay was far from anywhere near his best too, so I'm sure they will both be up for it on Wednesday. It's great to have such a good side again, all of whom have a bit of quality about them. It is especially good to have such a great back four though, they were phenomenal on Saturday. Very optimistic about this game.

eddie and kadi have the class to interchange positions throughout the game which always keeps the oppos on their toes but once match fit i think that kadi will be chief midfield play maker with eddie having a loose cannon role

the ilford game is a huge one pyscologically as our TWO worst performances were AWAY and we just have to " dig out a result " at ilford , forget fancy scorelines or brazilian type football its a WIN thats needed and the character of the side will be tested

however with flanners, coyle and guesty getting stuck in at the back and OBs steel in the midfield plus our 3 natural goal scorers plus our new threats from set pieces we have every chance of 3pts

not getting complacent but if we do NOT beat teams like ilford then we do NOT deserve promotion

SEE YOU THERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I can't make Wednesday night's game as I have to work - yes I know Duke bad organisation  :-(.

I will have to rely on the web for scores / updates. Still I'm sure I can rely on Duke and the boys to give the Darts a shout for us.

Looking at Ilfords start to the season a not very good only 1 point, but looking at who they have played you can see why, 5 of the current top 6 a 1-1 draw with Ware at home who wiped the floor with us and two 1-0 defeats at home to Redbridge and leaders Brentwood. They dont travel to well three defeats 2-0 at Enfield,8-1 at Sudbury and 5-0 at Edgware. So remember Ware and Northwood we must not just turn up and think we will win so a performance like at Sittingbourne would be in order.See you all Wednesday.UP THE DARTS.

Couldn't agree more. We need to get stuck in from the start and raise the game level to the way we was at Sittingbourne.

Hopefully Kadi will be up to prove a point.

Home crowds of 65, 105 & 61??? Do you think they will be prepared to be over-run by hungry, thirsty Darts fans (especially for a midweek game)? Best start queuing now for the burger bar.

Come on you Darts fans ... BRING THA' NOISE!!!

Me too, but I'll be going Saturday.  So hopefully a win tomorrow night will give us more confidence to progress in the F.A Cup on Saturday too!

Lets play to our strengths and get a result, even though Ilford have not had a good start they only lost 1-0 to the new league leaders,so the message is ,show them respect and come home with the points.Remember Northwood away to get rid of over confidence, then think of Sittingbourne away, to gain the belief that will be required.  Come on you Dartsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!

This site is normally pretty accurate.  Looks like it'll be best to join the tunnel approach at Stone.
