Tuesday 9th October 2007 vs Aveley League cup 1945 POSTPONED
« on: October 03, 2007, 07:05:16 PM »

Would think that all the fringe players will get a run out in this, ahead of the big one at Bromley!

                                               TEDDER

Ossie               Avery           Potter             Green

Moore             Kadi             roberts           Lawrence

                        Bradbrook          Hayes

Well something like that!

What do you all think?

Maybe a mixture?

I think you are probably about right Kebabus, plus Sam may get a game if he is fit, along with a couple from the under 21's who could warm the bench.

Anybody going to the Aveley match by car with two spare seats for me and my son departing from anywhere near the Hextable area? I am debarred from driving at the moment, the wife is refusing to ferry us there, public transport is unreliable and taxis cost a bomb.
Any offers (to my e-mail address) gratefully considered.

Nah, it's just that she refuses to get the evening meal on half an hour early AND drive us to PP straight after, especially as the nights are drawing in and she hates driving in the dark! Never mind, if the pills work I'll be driving again before the start of next season :-)

Yeah, especially as the missus is already starting to moan about playing taxi driver for Saturday home matches - only 2 months into the season AND before the clocks go back and it's dark for the ride back home!!!

I disagree with using fringe players. i think the team will be stronger as TB once said that he feels a match is as good as training. If you are saying this because a player could get injured, fair enough. But I feel the side against Avery will be much stronger.

One of your recent posts suggested that we should 'forget the cups'.

I think that the fringe players (with Kadi and Ryan) will be good enough to beat Aveley.

Could be wrong but have you changed your stance now?

Bit late mentioning it, but when I first saw the title of this thread, I thought "Blimey, what's all this about, going back 62 years", but then I realised it meant the time 19:45, not the year 1945!!! :-D

Very good but the 2007 mentioned earlier in the sentence would have grasped it for most!

Oh sorry a joke!

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?
