i
hunky , sounds like you need to get down to the local tesco for a bunch of flowers and box of chocs to sweeten your missus up for a lift to aveley , you old tight sod !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, it's just that she refuses to get the evening meal on half an hour early AND drive us to PP straight after, especially as the nights are drawing in and she hates driving in the dark! Never mind, if the pills work I'll be driving again before the start of next season :-)

How about trying thiis 'new man' thing and you cooking the dinner.  The missus gets a night off and you get to football  xtip

If Aveley draw in the Trophy tomorrow, this'll be off.

Not at all Kebabus, I'm merely stating what TB once said. And I still think, because of that, that the team will be stronger on Tuesday.
As for my views, I still stick by them. And will be truly disappointed if I travel up on Tuesday night to find he has the side that you have suggested. I feel he should be playing a few more first teamers.
I want nothing more than to be playing Premier football next season. And therefore we should be concentrating on the League.
And I thank you for taking an interest in my comments as I take an interest in yours. Bless you.

Gary you so shocked The Duke that now he's calling you Spike instead of Skip, I should beef up the sarcasm if you want to maintain his image.

There will be priorities, we need some success, a mix of players from the squad, (similar to my imaginary team) should be good enough to beat Aveley. Bromley away in the cup is a massive game, the sort of game you want to see more often, its time to rotate the squad, get everyone ready, its time to be consitent in the league and cups. Anything is possible from here.

Keep up the good work Ozzy, debate amongst the fans is good.

According to the Ryman League website Aveley and Ilford drew 2-2 so it looks like Tuesday's game will be off!!  :-(

Another game to rearrange but it means the lads will be rested for Saturday!

I hadn't realised (until just looking at the Ryman site) that  xdover went out of the Isthmian League Cup (why is it still called that BTW?) on Monday, losing 2-3 AT HOME to Eastbourne Town, in front of 151 spectators. I guess the attendance, it not the score, shows how much significance they attach to this competition.

Lack of sponsor would be my common sense answer?

I'm going to lock and archive this now as there is no match.

Match re-arranged provisionally for 23rd October 2007.
