Given that we are 3rd on goal difference and only 2 points off the leader. I cannot see how anyone can not be reasonably happy with our position. OK we would all like to be top for the whole season, but it is a marathon and not a sprint. We are barely a 3rd of the way thru the season, our form (apart from saturday  ) has been good and I see no reason why it cannot continue to be so. I will look upon saturday as one of those abberations that happen now and then, if they continue to happen then I will start worrying.

we all do hope that saturdays performance was an abberation but the reality is we threw away 3 vital points.we will of course drop points during the season but almost certainly the champions will beat teams like waltham abbey at home.i am not worried at the moment but we do have "previous" in dropping points and going on bad runs .its up to tony and the boys to put things right and there is no doubt they will continue to have the support of the vast majority of posters including myself

We did not do enough on Saturday to win but we certainly didn't deserve to loose, our defence that has looked so solid recently
lost concentration at key times and that costs us. Having given them the chances credit to WA who finished well for their
first two goals, but the third goal was easily avoided, it just needed Guest to take control and head back to Kess but
between them they somehow messed up big time.

Regardless of what other teams did on Saturday we have dropped three points and that could cost us dearly come May.
If we are to win this league we cannot afford to drop points at home to mid-table teams and make no mistake the only
way to be sure of promotion from this league is to win it, making the play-offs may not be good enough.
Think we are all beginning to realize this league is probably no weaker than the South and it will be a battle to the end.

DjJohn makes a good point that OB has been at fault for a couple of recent goals Tilbury was one and the second on Saturday
was another example, I wonder what is the point of a defensive mid-fielder if he does not seem to be able to defend/tackle
when needed and players just drift pass him.

The Kadi debate, I did not see the Lewes game (that everybody raved about) but sofar I have been waiting to be
really impressed by the player, initially I thought he needed time to get fit and understand the other players but nine games in
thats no longer an excuse. The flicks occasionally work but sometimes I really wish he would try to hold the ball and look for the pass,
but I am beginning to get the impression he is scared of getting tackled and cannot wait to rid himself of the ball.

On the positive side we are still very much in the hunt, so we put this game behind us and go on another unbeaten run
and take control of the league.

One of the things in our favour so far this season is that we are drawing far fewer games than others about us.

I would prefer us to win two games and lose one out of three, rather than win one, draw one and lose one, cos that gives us 6 points rather than 4 points. So to me, the fact we have only drawn two of our 13 games so far this season, is the reason that we have escaped punishment in losing the three games have so far, and still find ourselves in as comfortable a position as we are, despite the Ware, Northwood and WA setbacks.

It would certainly calm my nerves if we could achieve the automatic spot, because it is a lottery when it comes to the playoffs, it becomes a 1 in 4 chance, much more a game of chance. That is why we have to push on and on for that top spot. And we are still well placed for that, for the reasons I stated above.
