Having seen the highlights :-P We certainly had a few chances, the move by Junior for the 4th goal was delightful  :-D I too agree that our weakness last season was giving away 'silly' goals. That certainly appears to have been rectified now with our back 4 looking as good as anybody else's, having conceded only 9 goals in 9 league games, and all those coming from only 3 of those games. With Brendan scoring 6 from 9 and Jay 6 from 8 and Junior starting to look his old pre-season self we do appear to be a 'complete' team capable of taking on anyone in our league and winning.

Duke. It was noted you weren't there!!!

But don't worry, I still bought my 50/50 off the 5th.

Lincoln. I did ask Tony Henry if was playing nowadays, as I had previously heard he was no longer playing. This is confirmed, and having played a couple of games, for Harlow, I think it was, he hasn't played since, and his reason was that he hadn't found any club since that matched his enjoyment of playing with the Darts.

A pity really I think, because personally, I rated him and I'm sure he could have a done a really useful job for any number of clubs.

One bonus of it all is, is that I have a copy of the homecoming match programme which has been signed by the majority of the players, directors and officials, but one missing player was in fact Tony, who departed soon after the Homecoming match, so arrangements are in hand to get Tony to add his autograph to the programme. It will be my intention to put the programme on ebay in time, with proceeds going to the Club funds. Had our annual Ebay auction gone ahead earlier this year, then this programme would have been a part of that auction. Now that we aren't doing the auction, then I will put it up on my own account at some time in the future (no rush), and when I do so, I will be asking Tony Jaglo to put a piece in one of his match  programmes nearer the time. But if all goes well, then at least I hope to have Tony Henry and Jim Carter's autographs included as well.

Thanks for the information about Tony Henry. I agree it is a great pity that he isn't playing, especially as he is only 28 years old- far too young to retire.

Think most of the posts and TB's notes have already given an accurate assessment
of the game but some observation from me.

I was extremely frustrated in the first half because I could see that PBT were not a good side
and it was obvious that if their defence was put under pressure they would make mistakes, yet for
some reason we gave them far too much possession and did not take the game to them,
the result was some pretty poor football from both sides. Anyway that was all put right in the second half,
we started playing, the mistakes came and the goals went in. Think it was very important to get the 4 goals,
as goal difference could prove to be crucial come May and we need to get our GD up there with
Sudbury's

Like some others have mentioned I and not sure that Kadi's quick flick passes are working at the moment.
I thought he would be the sort of player to hold the ball and spray out passes but maybe that will
come as his fitness improves, I also noticed he gave Ryno some stick (rightly) in the first half when he
failed to get his crosses in and got caught in possession but when Ryan put the cross in for May's
goal a made a big point of praising him and telling him that was what he should be doing.

Also managed to meet Pete Sampson at half time nice to put a face to the
name.

Really enjoyed the game Saturday despite the dull first half which was not helped by the ref blowing the whistle every minute!!! Dartford look like the all round team at the mo, which makes it difficult to vote for mom, despite the run of goals I went for a defender (even though I stood behind the attacked goal) as I was never put under any stress when the ball was at the wrong end.

As for the crowd can’t believe it was 800+ I guessed only 600, maybe it was because it was the quietest I have known at Dartford but then who are they supposed to sing against!

Enjoyed it so much might have to go to Tilbury away as can’t wait for the next home game.

Good afternoon, fellow supporters. long time no talk. Have been away, so missed the Hornchurch fixtures. And also have had problems with the fecking computer. feel real left out.
Anyway, nice to come back with a win on Saturday. Must agree with some comments made, I thought we played real sticky first half, and were lucky not to go in at half time 1-1. That guy left Greenie for dead when he broke away, should have made better of his chance, but well done Kessie.
Once we got the second they looked all over the place, and towards the end we looked delightful going forward. Our defence was solid, I personally think the back four are playing well together, but then they weren't really tested, were they?
Nice to see a good crowd, and a few friends. For me I thought Guesty, Flanners and Cassie pinched it for me. I don't know where Cassie has suddenly got all this energy from. He chased everything. But my man of the Match was Guest
I still feel we have to watch ourselves Tuesday against Tilbury, but our confidence looks sky high.
