I see that on some posts the mention of not good in thefirst half etc.I think we must look at the fact that to play us ( and i will not be arrogant again)is a cup final ,the big team,I could go on but i think the point is there so we have to weather the initial effort from sides and then when we have done that go for the kill which we are doing and very well at the moment.

So well done to all and i thought it was a very good game of football.Let us keep this level up my only concern is bookings and suspensions now(any updates Flans Guesty Obrian !!!!!

great fightback against a very dangerous team, Tilbury have some very good players ,I said in an earlier post that the " pretty" football that some teams play will only get them so far and last night the Darts proved that they were up for what was required,in the end we outbattled them, yes we played some good stuff as well but this game was all about character,we must not ease up though cos saturday will soon bed here and another 3 points will be up for grabs, my MOM was Greeny ,there are workhorses in every good side and greeny is certainly that. COYD!we have a goal poacher in Cassie and Kess was excellent last night, but in the end the whole team + subs were up ,long may it continue

Tilbury were among the best sides we've played this season, and they'll do well. We played as well as we have done. The goal we conceded came because we pushed people up in an attempt to score, and they had two quick wingers who broke quickly. For me, if we're going to concede, I'd rather concede trying to score than from silly mistakes. Brendon was excellent again, Greenie's engine is incredible and the back four again were immense.

                 :-)

I was wondering what to say, so I looked through the other posts and I have to agree with Trevor B's

comments, A good write up me lad. I think my motm will be "greeno" his work rate, he just

keeps running and he caused havoc .

I would class last night again as perhaps a game we will look back on in May and say 'that was the night...etc etc'! Really really pleasing result!
Not a classic Dartford display but it was never going to be against an organised team on a bumpy surface

Full credit to the lads for equalising before the break and that set us up nicely to take all 3 points in the 2nd half!
How good was the move for the 2nd goal!! From our own penalty box to the other in 4 passes and about 7 seconds!

A lot of effort expended in gaining 3 points and dont think any of the players used would score below a 7 out of 10. Lastly fair play to Kess didnt have alot to do but kept his concentraion to make a bloody good save late on to secure the points!

Usual fantastic turn out from the Darts and have to say that im really enjoying the away games this year! The sat nav is primed for Finchley on Saturday! Who needs Arsenal V Man Utd when you have the main event of Wingate & Finchley V Dartford!

A great game due to the non stop attacking efforts of both sides. I agree with various other posters that Tilbury are one of the best sides we've played so far and therefore to come away with a win is a great result.

Although it was another great all round team performance, my MOTM goes to Guesty for the cross field pass to Ryno in the build up to the second goal and a last ditch tackle right at the end as one of their players was lining up a shot.

Another 3 points and so on to Wingate and Finchley and hopefully a win. After that, a big test next Tuesday at home against Edgware Town who are currently top. If this does not bring back the crowds I don't know what will!!

Excellent hard working performance rewarded by three points. As already mentioned Ryno (just like on Saturday)
could not get anything going in the first half and then on 44 mins he does what we know he can do and puts in a
cross that any forward would love and we score, second half he played very well and I was surprised he was taken
off but maybe he was beginning to get a little tired.
Cassie apart from his goals is working extremely hard closing down opposition defenders, which can be a
thankless task and often goes unnoticed but is also very important.
For me steady Steve Norman had a very solid game and did not put a foot wrong all night and gets my MOTM.

Can I just say that this was the first Darts Away performance I have seen for many years (work / familly restrictions etc...)
I was proud to be a part of the Dartford massive ( Choir) and thought the boys deserved the win without doubt.  xnod
For me Green was MOTM with Cass & Kess being a close 2nd. Thought Jay looked a bit unfit .

Just one thing regarding the attendance though, when I went in with my son we did not go through the turstiles , were not given any ticket or receipt and I am guessing that there were a few more of us that did the same thing .So how can the figures be recorded. I thought there were about 200 Darts there.

One last thing - What happened to all the programmes ? Anyone got a spare ?

I wasn't one of those panicking during the early weeks of the season, as I thought the unsettling pre-season injuries and shanagins, were all reasons for an indifferent start, and to me the signs were there, that once we were up and running, the results would come. I still think the recent run of cup games we've had has been to our benefit as we have had to raise our games to compete with the higher teams.

This was also Tilbury's first home defeat of the season, and as posters say, were one of the better teams we have played.

We are winning our games in hand, and are now right up there and well in touch with the leading teams. Hopefully, we can take something out of the Edgware game next Tuesday, which although it is a 6 pointer game, will not be a catastrophy if we lost, but an almighty boost if we win.

Again last night quite a few logged onto the website for updates. We've got more posters logging on during the away games than some of those teams get through their own gates. Great support for the Darts!!!

Good points Pete, we are capable of getting a result Saturday and beating anyone at home, exciting times ahead!

The cheer that went up for our second was massive! If we remain consistent the away (and home) support will only grow with the web site army abandoning their pc and going to the games, very encouraging all round!

We are an emerging team with many qualities, adapting to any given situation, players giving it their all and producing winning football.

An away day with the Darts is well worth the effort, that 12th man really does help.

We are louder away folks!

Thoroughly enjoyable match last nite. To come back from 1 down so quickly and expertly really set up the second half. All credit to Tilbury for really giving us a run for our money. A special mention for their goalie, who despite getting the usual amount of stick from the DFC massive, took it all in good heart and played along with it to a certain extent. I agree about the turnstile figures but it's not a cup game so the true figure doesn't really affect anybody except the home club (VAT etc ) I expect. Even so that was still the highest home gate for Tilbury in the league this season beating the 191 they got for the home fixture against Canvey on Bank Holiday monday :-D
Once again Greenie get's my MOTM vote for sheer work rate, with Cassie coming a close second. Like several other posters I too have a great degree of respect for Tony Kessel now. Despite having little to do most of the match, he was always there when he was needed, and as we saw in the Camberley replay, he is never still in his area. Even when we are attacking he is  stretching etc.

Couldn't make the game last night , so was logged on at work, and updates via text, thanks Andy.

Glad to hear the boys are starting to hold together in the tougher games.
And Cassie is back to the goal hanging and not trying to outrun defenders with the ball. The tap ins are his bread and butter, he should leave the work to the others and just sniff the loose balls.
Also glad to hear Ryan is looking more like his old self, her's to a few more exciting runs down the wing.

As I said before the season started , I wouldn't mind a slow start and a strong finish.
Most of the winning sides grind out these results with a strong defense and 1-0 2-1 wins along the way.
After the defensive errors of last season, who would have thought we would have such a big turn around, well done lads.

Lets keep the run going and show this league how good we can be when we get playing.

How good was that pass to cassie from Ryno? absolute genius.
Guesty done great with the 2nd, winning the ball for a great cross to Ryan!
