cant believe the ref mad announcement first half about the whistle wat an idiot

Sorry don't agree, nobody other than the ref should be blowing a whistle in any ground :x :x
Also we should leave the nets alone :x :x

well his the only ref that has ever comlianed about it plus there refs whistle are more squakier and whistles help create noise and atmosphere

Banksy, there's no debate to be had. It's pretty stupid to take a whistle to a game that is controlled (and I use the word "controlled" very loosely) by a bloke with a whistle. It doesn't happen too often because most people have the sense not to bring one. I can assure you though, that he is not the first to complain as I have personally seen people ejected from grounds for blowing a whistle ... and to be honest I have no sympathy with anyone being ejected if they are daft enough to blow one.

Whilst I don't personally stand behind the goal and sing (I prefer to get a better view of the game from the side) I think its great that we now have a large travelling choir that undoubtedly helps lift the team and create a bit of atmosphere. I agree with you that rattles and air-horns shouldn't be a problem as they just add to the fun. A whistle though is obviously going to cause confusion and of course the ref is going to try and stop it.

spike airhorns banned at home for some stupid reason which is just not feasible or likely to happen. this is where we really need the noise. im currently looking for other instruments that make noise and trust me if i had money i would get a drum but at the sec i cant

The thing is, someone blowing a whistle, could easily cause players to stop/pull up, thinking the ref had stopped play. this could of course include OUR players, maybe resulting in us conceding a goal. I wouldn't like to be the whistle blower amongst The Choir, if that happened!

delboy i would never ever blow the whsitle whilst the darts were defending so b4 i get a mass number of fans turning against me and to keep everyone including the ref  happy i wont blow the whistle during the game only when we score and at the end of games so the ref cant moan im interrupting play

And there endeth Banksy's treatment on a successful note ... uh hum. I can only assume air horns are not allowed due to the neighbours. Aren't the party horn things aloud? (that wasn't a spelling mistake, just poetic license) They can be quite effective. Banksy, seriously don't bother buying a drum, as I am sure I will not be the only one assisting you to wear it.

Congrat's to the 'Choir' who were superb especially second half. Hopefully I'll be able to join in soon but the old throat is struggling - not helped by lack of Bar Staff at PP for the quiz night.

yes martin the choir are superb at all away games but theres massive problems at home as people dont want to sing which is rather silly. i also dont understand the problem of having a drum i dont even mind a snare drum as in following seasons wen we go to grounds at a higher level we will need all the noise we can make as we may be facing several hundred fans who sing.

I think the ban on air horns is as stupid as the ban on bottle tops! I wouldn't have a problem with a drum either Banksy, the more noise we can generate the more intimidating fortress PP becomes.

Lets turn it into a "bastion of invincibility" as the great man once said.

I think the ban on airhorns is due to it being a gas in a cylinder rather than the noise. It's safety you see xshrug

we have to do it because all fans are thugs don't you know :x

Constructive criticism?? Don't get it. If it's still criticism, how is it constructive?
