Edgware looked a pretty good side, but on the night lacked a cutting edge. I believe they had a few forwards missing so you would think they will be a threat for the title.

Didn't think we played well going forward but at least we defended well and kept another clean sheet, not so long ago we would have lost a game like that.

Finally, thought there looked to be more in the ground than our last two evening games where i think they gave the crowds as about 850???

Back from head office and having had time to think, more positive comments to be made than negative on our performance.

Edgeware didn't need to raise their game playing at P.P. they were already a very good side and we had to weather several attacks early on and it was obvious after the first 20 minutes or so that we were going to struggle to score with a poor midfield on the night with lack lustre performances from Eddie and Ryno and Kadi resorting to more flicks than accurate passes mainly due to him having few options to pass the ball out to the wings.

I think Tony recognised this situation and decided that it was better to go with a point on the night hence Brad coming on for Eddie knowing that two super stand-in performances from Ossie (my M.O.M.) and Coylie were working well and there was an outside chance that Jay or Cassie might just nick a goal.

I feel Edgeware just like most of the teams will see a different Darts when we play them away plus they will hear the true fans volume of support from the choir so lets treat P.P.'s game as the away one an then a point looks good.

I assume that Eddie is still carrying a bit of a knock but out on the left is definitely not his position and I might have been happier if YoYo had been given a start, as for Ryno we all know he can do it and have seen him create two goals from his telling crosses, but little else as full backs quickly recognise that he will cut inside almost every time.

As one who has suffered from a broken ankle playing football and then continued playing once fit again, I suspect  Ryno is fit has the confidence to perform as we know he can but psychologically he has doubts about how his break (meta what's it) will stand up to heavy tackles and this is a situation I can but sympathise with him about, as only he can convince himself, that and a couple of good crunching tackles.

Therefore it's dangerous to him as he pulls out of tackles or doesn't go in full strength as it's courting another injury so hopefully mentally he will get back to his best as quickly as possible, because we need him whether he plays on the right or left, just as it showed that we missed Greenie down the left on Tuesday.

With a fully fit squad we will be a challenge for anyone and I'm sure there will be more games when Ossie, Richard, YoYo,Bradbrook, Moores etc will be starting games as the season where's on and players get tired with heavy grounds, we just have to be sure we pick up as many points as possible to be there at the end.

I think you are well right Trevor when we play our game at Edgware. Our away choir and support against a side that has difficulty getting 100 of their own supporters through their turnstiles, plus the fact we seem to be playing better and getting better results away from home this season, especially when the chips are down. A game to look forward to, me thinks!
