Waltham Forest away tuesday 20thg Nov
« on: November 18, 2007, 03:44:34 PM »

I have to be honest and say Waltham Forest dont have a single player that would improve our starting 11.Our right winger should have a field day with the right application. They have a young lad in his second spell at the club stuart Houghton, who i have yet to see this season but i was very impressed when i saw him  play the season before last.i think he plays on their right and is quick and confident.
we should win but who knows, one thing you can guarentee is that WF will work as hard as anyone we have played this season and wont give up untill the final whistle.we have to prepared to match their workrate and commitment, if we do we win if we dont we lose.

i dont think you understand what i am saying duke.i am not saying we will thrash WF.from what i have seen of teams in this league if there is one thing they can do its to battle.whoever is not up for a battle on a nasty night can come a cropper.the team with the best attitude irrespective of the quality of player will win the game.WF know how to stay in a game and have a manager that is a workerholic when it comes to footie.our players will have to be fired up for 90 minutes to win this one

i have a [ genuine] soft spot for WF as their fans are good guys and a couple of seasons ago they had a cracking young team  [with gods amount of pace] but lack of cash has f...d them and that annoys me

i want to beat them on tuesday but at present i am wary of all teams who work very hard and have a great team ethic , hence 11 best[ on paper]  players dont often beat a really good team !!!!!!!!!!

all the best , see you tuesday, dont forget to say hello !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to be honest fellas, we're not the quick, young, footballing side we were a few years ago! We're very erm......route one nowadays!  :-) but as rambo says, we'll work our arses off and annoy you for 90 mins!

However, i think we have one of the best defences in the league, despite our poor position. We had one of our defenders from last season come back from 6 months in america and we now look even meaner and stronger at the back

hi forest [ and friends ] good to hear from you and hope your quest for a new chairman is going well and that you stay in the league

i remember two cracking games with you a couple of seasons ago , sounds like a lot of water has gone under the bridge since ?????????//

i point from 3 games suggests that we are NOT firing on all cylinders and we badly want that to change starting with you tomorrow

hope we bring our usual 120+ fans [ cold tuesday night match,  not best advert !!] and create a good atmosphere , hope you still aint got that drum ?????

hope the burger van is open as no time for dinner as we hope to leave a bit earlier to beat the A13 AND A406

hope to bump into you tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!

IF we beat WF by 5 clear goals tomorrow and edgware lose at arlesey  we will be joint top [ 2nd on goal difference ] , if egware also  win we will probably stay at 3rd

good incentive to win ???????????/

Objective 1, win the game! Objective 2, don't lose!

If we play well and win all the better, hoofing it and winning ugly, brilliant!

Darford fc, its a life sentence of ups and downs, wouldn't have wanted it any other way!

DFC fans unite in cheering the lads on tomorrow night!

Hello,

Could anybody please tell me how long I should allow to drive from Dartford to Waltham Forest tomorrow using the A13 & A406? I have a sat nav and it says 35 minutes but I am unsure of roadworks etc?

Kind regards

John

The drum's gone im afraid!

Our match sec and his wife took over the running of the burger bar and its now even better than before, and very reasonably priced too!

The chairman front is looking a good deal better than it was a few weeks ago, and we have a few interested parties. Hopefully we'll sort something out sooner rather than later.

As soon as I'm able to post here I'll put any details regarding the state of the pitch, but I've got a full day at uni without computers so your best bet is probably to take a look at our forum/website: www.walthamforest-fc.co.uk
