First home league game I will miss this season and the only. The wife has shown her true authority

Interesting point, anyone else have hassle about Boxing Day footy, if yes how do you calm the vultures down and assure them everything will be alright? xshrug

Will have to see about that. Should be a great atmosphere as your probably the only team other Sudbury, that will challenge us in terms of vocal support. xwhis

To be honest we are louder away, although after reading that, the choir might crank up the volume especially for you!

I get the questioned asked every Boxing Day by the wife,
Quote
are you going to football
my response is always of course

I do follow up the response with what I feel is a just explanation.

Just think yourself lucky that it's not the good old days, Gravesend & Northfleet home on Christmas Day and away on Boxing Day or vice versa.

This makes her very grateful to have my company on at least one day of the holiday.

Who the hell am I trying to kid, after a couple of years courting and 35 years married she really did know what she was getting into marrying a Darts fan and she is very very understanding xbow xbow

I'd better go now, cause I'm, supposed to be peeling the potato's, preparing the brussels, dusting and vacumming etc etc what a busy life at Xmas time for a Darts fan, whilst the wife looks after the cooking.

One tip to to fans with children of any age, catch them young, I took The 5th Searcher to his first game at 18 months old and then most weeks thereon after, hence they may look forward to loads of presents in the future at Xmas, but when it comes to footie that is top of their priorities on Boxing Day.

Ask The 5th if you don't believe me.

Then maybe the wife will be happy for us to get out of her hair  :|

My problem is the timing, unless you live on your own, or everyone in the household is going out. 1.00 makes it too early to eat first, but too late for everyone else by the time you get home. Either the old 11.00 kick-off or the normal Saturday time of 3.00 would be easier.

Never had any problem to be honest--I put it down years of training  !!!!

She's known me long enough and had already looked at the fixture list and even though we've got family staying with us over Christmas, Boxing day food etc is being worked around the Darts. Happy Days !!

Should be a fantastic match and a brilliant atmosphere. Our 52-Seater Supporters Coach sold out before kick off on Saturday, I reckon we'll take about 150-170 altogether. That would treble most teams gate in this league, but not with you lot!! We won't have the numbers you have in terms of singers, but the 30-40 of us who do sing will have to be at our loudest.

Whatever the score, have a great Xmas and we look forward to meeting you all on Boxing Day.

Come On You Yellows!!
