Totally agree Spike and just to add a different point when we arrived and I realised we were warming up on a public park (for those that were not there the players were asked to warm up outside the ground as to preserve the pitch) I was slightly worried as wondered if it might affect the players as it was an away ground/game and nobody really knew how the pitch would play as they hadnt had the chance to warm up on it so Credit to all the backroom staff for getting the lads minds on the job as we came out of the traps fast kicking down the slope.

Interesting point John the GK coach made about Kess getting used to his surroundings as it wasnt PP (Kess was the only player who warmed up on the pitch beforehand) and I just think its those little touches behind the scenes that help drive our great club forward!

I thought Alex was superb on Saturday. Ran the midfield and got in great tackles as well as winning everything in the air. In fact the whole teams performance on Saturday was the most complete of the season. Created so many chances, looked solid at the back, we just looked like a championship team. Confidence seems to be sky high at the moment and if we carry on playing like we did on Saturday I am pretty sure we will have a successful end of season.

Cheers.

Spot on Jason, that is the exact same phrase that I used after the game.

The whole team performed as a complete unit and personally I enjoyed it more than any other game this season, even those thrashings we have been dishing out at PP.

Interesting point about Kessy being the only player to warm up on the pitch whilst all the others were asked to use poo park.

One of the GWR team coaches didn't seem too happy at seeing Kessy being allowed on. He was effing and blinding in front of us. He was having a right go at one of the GWR bosses saying  'we own this ground not them, you should have told them to f. off."    It made me wonder why he was so bothered about seeing Kess practice on the pitch but then when I saw the effect of the high winds on (particularly) the goalkeepers I kinda thought to myself that kess probably learned more from those three or four practice kicks than someone at GWR might have liked him too. Kessy seemed to be in the groove straight away, using the wind to get the ball where he wanted it - better even than the lad with the silvikrin hair (although a very sporting attitude) at the other end who constantly saw the ball drift out of play when he kicked it.

Well you can understand that they wouldn't let us play on it before 3pm as we certainly didn't let them play on it after!

Another great result and special thanks to Eagle 88 & Gilesy for the texts and phone calls to keep The 5th The Duke and myself up to date whilst away at Warners Weekend on the I.O.W.

Despite the ladies protests The 5th & The Duke grasp their phones in their hands non stop whilst praying for news to come through, albeit we were supposed to be playing a pub quiz.

Good to hear that Alex is keeping up his good form and from the video clips some of the football looked incredible as passes were splayed about in all directions.

What a goal from Ryno for No.1 via Jays' flick on and it was interesting to see that Phil was playing in the inside right position when he fed the ball through to Cassie (had Phil & Ryno swopped wings ?) and then up pops Ryno with a flying header coming in from the L.H. side.

Great support lads with over 200 travelling and those old f**ts (Kebabus & T.L.D.)  xfinger missing on the day (well you didn't think I meant The Duke & I did you  xwhis)  xnod

Excellent first half performance and lots of chances created in he second half as well. I would think this was one of the most professional performances of the season.

Excellent first half performance and lots of chances created in the second half as well. Everyone contributed to one of the most professional performances of the season.

I'll admit that OB was not one of my favourites and i feel that his position is the only one that doesn't have natural cover. However since the second half of the Witham game IMO his performances have got beter and better. Saturday was by far his best performance in a Darts shirt and if he continues to play like this he will become a fans favourite. I feel that he is now playing slightly further forward than before and maybe this is the reason why, whatever long may it continue.

PS. I don't want to get carried away as his recent performances seem to have occured after he got a bit of stick
OB you got my vote for MOM, well played.
