There have been a few strange votes in the past too- for instance voting for a player who has come on as substitute for the last five to ten minutes!

I find it surprising also, that there are only 66 votes when there must have been at least twice that many posters at the game I would hope. Why did they not vote?

At a guess i would say that a hell of a lot of them either don't bother to look on this great site or have a look but don't bother to register hence they can read but can't vote or post.

Im guessing that the reason for some of the odd votes for subs is possibly either family/friends related OR people feel the main 11 have had a bad game and only feel the sub is worthy of a vote or they didn't actually see the game at all and basically vote for the sub so that they might not influence a main contender but want to see how the voting is going because you can only see who's got what votes once you have voted yourself.

Try saying that in one breath.

It is a shame you can't see the vote without voting yourself but then it can't influence your vote I suppose. Gary could add an abstain radio button so you could choose that if you didn't get to the match or you just feel as though there was no one MOTM.

Gary system is spot on but yes some times people do vote for a favorite sadly as in all honestly Jay deserves more votes on occasion but on Tuesday you could not vote for Jay in my opinion but I still feel he was hard done by being sent off.
